Outlook 2007 upgrade freezes on startup

Can't open Outlook 2007. I just upgraded from 2003 and when I try to open Outlook it starts with the Configure panel, then freezes. I think it is trying to import previous settings. I have rebooted, tried to do the Start> Run> Outlook/Safe but it still freezes at the Configure panel. Help!

You say that you have upgraded to Outlook 2007 from Outlook 2003; were you using any personal folders (.pst) in Outlook 2003?

If the asnwer is yes; then were these personal folders created in Outlook 2003 or some earlier version of Outlook? In any case, if the older type personal folders are large in size, these can cause Outlook 2007 to stop responding or freezing.

Close Outlook 2007; right click on the Outlook icon showing in the startup programs bar and choose properties; choose 'Show Profiles'; choose copy profile and then choose this new profile in the 'Always use this profile' option.

Outlook 2007 should now work fine.

Make sure that you have downloaded and applied all your updates for Office, after SP2. Sometimes just applying an update can make a world of difference. As well, have you tried reinstalling Outlook? There could have been a problem with the integration of SP2 with Office, when it was installed.
If still problem persists then in touch at Outlook Customer Support Number 18002430019 and get your issues resolved under guidance of Outlook tech team support.

Hi there !

I you upgrade you Outlook 2007 to 2010, it will also upgrade all the MS office application because you will install the upgrade and it will change all from 2007 to 2010. Don't worry, all MS office 2007 will work fine in MS Office 2007. I upgrade my 2007 to 2010 also with no problem.

Cannot send/recieve mail outlook express

If you have installed Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, it will set itself as your default mail client. Hit the Windows ball or Start button on the lower left of the desktop - All Programs - Outlook Express. When it opens; hit File - Export - To Outlook (Messages). Outlook Express will export all of your messages, contacts and account settings to Outlook 2007 and you will be able to use the better, upgraded Outlook Mail client.

How to open 2007 word document in 2003 word?

Hi there,

Two options.

One. Upgrade to 2007. A bit on the spendy side.

Two. All office products have the ability to Save their documents (etc.) in a format readable by previous versions.

I would ask your friend to open the file, save as a Word 2003 Document and resend the file. No expense, fast, easy.

Best regards
Mike

I am trying to upgrade our Department from Office 2003 to 2007

You can use Files and Settings Transfer Wizard or User State Migration Tool. Also, with that size of an environment you should consider hosting your own mail and use Exchange. Also, are you in a domain environment?
