Problem: Push On Button, Press to Start. Click. Sensing. No Tumbling.

Solution: Called repairperson. Replaced Thermal Fuse (Part 3390719) and also suggested having venting system checked (ours vents through attic). Charged $198.00. This did not appear to be a problem that a layperson could fix, although a very handy person might be able to do it.

1) sounds like that accudry sensor needs checking. If the accudry sensor (the back box with the two silver trips in it under the lint filter) does not sense wet garment it coul cause the dry to start and then cut off or not start at all. did you try using a cycle that does not sense the load you are dying. 2) the mother board of the dry may need chnaging depening on your dryer. if your dryer is like the cabrio, duet or the senseon dryer then it could be a motherboard problem.

SOURCE: Another Whirlpool Cabrio Sensing issue

Hi-- none of the solutions I've read here are working. Same problem, dryer not starting, it says "Sensing..." and then "Wet" and does nothing. It worked fine on the last load, except I noticed it read 11 minutes for a very, very long time (I think it got stuck). New load? "Sensing..." etc.

SOURCE: My Whirlpool Duet Dryer, 5 years old has the

From the service manual

Sensing

When the dryer is first turned on, the Sensing

light glows until a wet item is detected.

• In an Automatic Cycle, if a wet item has not

been detected within 10 minutes, the Sensing

light will turn off, and the dryer will shut

down.

• In a Manual Cycle, if a wet item is not

detected after 10 minutes, the Wet light

turns on, and the selected cycle continues.

Since we are not getting an error code let's try turning off the power at the breaker panel for 5 minutes. See if this clears the issue.

if this doesn't clear the sensing lite then email me and I will forward the service manual to you. It has a $25.00 value but I will trust you to not give it out to anyone.here is my email [email protected]

In the meantime until I hear from you i will continue to read the manual.

When you receive the manual you will need to perform the diagnostics test to determine what the issue is.

Kenmore electric dryer model 88042 runs but stops short beeping

Based on symptom and details, the control has detected a component failure. Since your model does not have digital display window in order to display a fault code, it will flash the four indicator lights of

Drying, Cool Down, Wrinkle Rid (Press Saver), and Clean Lint Filter will flash the number of times for the first digit of the code and the START indicator light will flash the number of times for the second digit.

Take separate counts of each indicator light, then repeat to confirm in order to be accurate in identifying the proper error code. The code is obtained by counting the number of times the lights flash. Example E24: The four indicator lights would flash twice indicating the 2 and the START indicator light will flash four times indicating the 4. The four indicator lights and the START indicator light

start flashing at the same time. The control will pause for 2 seconds, then repeat the code.

The failure is likely because of a faulty thermistor or because the heater is not working. It could have a broken heating element or a burnt wire connection at the control board. I would begin by accessing the thermistor and disconnecting it. The thermistor can be tested with an Ohm meter. The thermistor should measure approximately 50,000/5K Ohms at room temperature.

The heating element is located behind the drum and it can be disconnected and tested for continuity with an Ohm meter.

NOTE: Disconnect the dryer from the power supply before servicing.

I have the whirlpool cabrio wed6200sw1 dryer and when i set the drying time to 45 minutes drying time, the timer count's down in about 20 minutes and ends the cycle, got a F25 code when I ran diag's

f25 is a bad thermisiter, find the tech sheet in the dryer and it will tell you how to read out the thermisiter,if the thermisiter is good then you have a bad computer board.

F25 error code

The "F25" error code means the control board senses the inlet thermistor shorted. The inlet thermistor is a part of the hi-limit thermostat which is located on the heating element box.

OVERHEATING, AF CODE..... Whirlpool Cabrio WED6200SW1

Mine is doing the same thing. Whirlpool still has it under warranty but says they won't replace it. They will only repair it. They have been out 5 times now and still not fixed. It will work one time and the clothes are scorched when I took them out. Do NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL. I think we should start a civil suit against Whirlpool for replacement of all of these washers.
