As is typical with all Philips projection sets the cooling fluid has become contaminated in the blue and green picture tube assemblies. The red is almost never affected with this as whatever bacterial growth is discoloring the fluid in the blue and green tubes can't seem to survive in red light. The blue and green light is shining up through muddly cooling fluid and that is why the red is predominating. A reputable tv repair shop can pull the tube assemblies and dismantle them and clean and reassemble and refill and do all the necessary adjustments for around $300 to $400.

Vikings jerseys were red not purple, whats up?

It is not with the fault to any user adjustment. The blue tint is a little bit more than normal. Contact any service technician, to make it right. It is an internal adjustment, as well as service mode adjustment. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. I have a philips dptv310 55'' rear projection tv... everything works but picture is in constant red tint... any fixes

The Phillips are famous for the coolant needing replacement in the blue and green CRTs which make the screen take on a red tint and the pic will appear dull. You can get the Phillips coolant Kit at www.tvrepairworld.com The kit also contains the CD with instructions

Mitsubishi tv problem

im assumiong you checked the tint in the menu options. if not go check it. other wise it sounds like you have a weak tube, or you do not know how to adjust the screen brightness. this is how i adjust the brightness (you dont need to touch the focus). turn the red up until your whole screen is tinted red, then do the same with the blue and the green. then go through each one and turn down just a little till your pic darkens a little. good luck

Try resetting the TV by unplugging from wall outlet for 3 to5 minutes then plug back in. If no fixya take front grill off and panel and adjust the screen controls, turn color off adjust for Black & White Picture. Good Luck, big IRISH.
