SOURCE: I am having problems programming the remote
Programming a GE Universal Remote Control takes about seven steps. Step One: Manually turn on the device you wish to program. Step Two: Press the Code Search button on the remote until the indicator light turns on. Step Three: Release the Code Search button. Step Four: Press and release the button for the device you are programming. Step Five: Enter the three-digit code for the device using the number buttons on the remote. After the code is entered, the indicator light turns off. Step Six: Aim the remote at the device and press the power button. The device should turn off. Step Seven: Press Channel Up on the remote with the device on. If the device responds, no further programming is required. To look up a device code to enter directly into the remote, visit the GE Remote Code Locator Website. http://www.jascoproducts.com/support/dow... http://www.jascoproducts.com/support/dow... SOURCE: Remote Programs To TV, But Buttons Are Not Working Properly
Program the remote with the code/codes provided by the remotes manufacturer until you find the one that gives you the functions that you desire, or you could look for the OEM remote from the manufacturer of the TV or on an auction site.
A lot of times the universals won't perform all the functions that the original one does.
Good Luck.

SOURCE: Universal Remote Setting instruction problem
Dear RF I have found no model responding to 303-QCDS8A .
As you said it is probably a no brand Chinese manufacturer.
See if there is a model number printed at the back of the remote and post it here.
thanks.
