If you mean the post which the cutter thing connects to I have the same problem.
I got out my jar of vaseling and smeared vaseline in the hole after I pried the pole or disk out of the opening with a flat head screwdriver
a bit better at least it comes out.
Now if they would only make the post a tiny bit smaller at the top so the container comes off without a lot of effort,...
Mine takes the post with it now that I have put the vaseline on it.

Without careful use and care, there is a possibility that the disc stem can become fused with the motor shaft. If excess pressure is being applied to the slicing or shredding disc, this can cause immense friction and cause the plastic disc stem to "weld" onto the motor base itself.
I would suggest calling Kitchenaid Customer Service to see what options are available.
We had the same problem!
I was bending a 18" pry bar and couldn't move it!
Finally I tapped the spindle LIGHTLY and it broke loose and have had no more problems. I even bought $80 worth of replacement parts and did'nt use them.
The serivce center sold me the parts but the Tech refused to talk me thru installing them.
