I own a digital hd video camera but I find impossible to transfer videos to my PC Acer.. somehow there seems to be like a wall in between that keeps the information from getting to the computer.

I will not recommend u to do the same with ur PC it can be harmfull for ur PC and can damaged ur PC . if u want to know abt the different parts of ur computer then refer from the booklet which comes along with computer

this lap comes with a s-video connector if your tv support s-video buy the cable
also it has a vga port to to connect to another monitor or tv if your tv supports vga buy the cable
in the two you should configure your lap to send the image to the tv in the control panel, if doesnt dot it automatically

Acer aspire 5315 lap top used to play dvds through windows media player but wont play them now error message saying no compatible decoder my lap top came pre loaded so i have no discs for it.

download VLC player it is best small software it can be run any type of video audio format

Try to turn off the acer laptop, remove the cables and battery . Press & Hold the power button. Then replug cables and battery. Turn on pc and if symptopm persist, consult acer tech support at 1-800-816-2237

Hi, I have an acer 5100 lap top. I have problems playing CD/DVDs and you tube videos. The video is choppy and not smooth. I have 2MB of memory.

If youtube is choppy, it's your Internet connection.

Got a new acer lap top and when i trn it on it turns on but the screen doesnt turn on

Laptops have the capability to use the monitor for projectors and dual monitors. In order to use those other items you have to press FN+F6 or FN+F5. This may have been pressed by accident. So press those two combinatons three or four times each. It may toggle to bring your screen on.

Transferring video and sound from my lap top to my television set

From my understanding.. S video is just another way to output video from your laptop to your tv.. as for sounds you'll need a cable that connect to your earphones or your laptop to the audio input of your tv.
