N4prouter port how do i port forward?? picked this up at a swapfest cheap so i don't have a manual so what do i do??

Are you trying to set up the router. You can do it manually without the CD. Make sure that your computer is able to go online through the modem. If your computer is not able to go online through the modem then you will need to call ISP first. If your computer is able to go online through the modem then you need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router. open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.

isolate your problem. maybe it has something to do with your computer. try connection your pc directly to your modem. if it gets online there. the problem is with your router. try unplugging and replugging your router then restart your pc.

This is a quick fix to your problem.

Go into the xbox live network configuration and manually set the IP address there.

The IP address consists of 4 octets (4 sets of numbers) separated by periods.

You will only want to change the last number.

For instance, if the current IP address is 192.168.1.3 you would only change the 3.

I would suggest using a number like 237 to avoid conflicting with the other computers and devices on the network.

Connect a computer to the router via Ethernet cable, then you should be able to log into the router to set it up by opening a web browser and putting "http://192.168.1.1/" or "http://192.168.0.1/" (without the quotes) into the address line.
