How can I find the software to download to set up my dell 946 printer? I lost the start up disc.

I have a dell Aio 946 printer.it just beeps at me every few seconds and the computer tells me it is not hooked up to the usb port but it is

    hi tk,dell has a list of drivershttp://support.dell.com/support/download... can also enter your service tag number,its located when you open the lid to the cartridge compartment.Driver versions are G9a, A01 and C022807,A02 for Windows XP 32 bit Hope this helps, Jay

Dell all in one 946 will not scan to my Mac. Do i need to download a software?
Download the software directly from this site http://download.cnet.com/Dell-AIO-Printer-946/3000-2116_4-109339.html This will work for the MAC apple system as well. This site has free software so do not be concerned with paying once you see what you need.

Just got a new lenovo laptop and my dell 946 will not print anything from it. Not sure if it's a compatability problem?
Did you install the DELL printer-driver software onto the new laptop?

If you've lost that CD-ROM, access the manufacturer's web-site:

http://support.dell.com

and enter '946' and do a search for the device-driver software.

Will 946 printer work with windows 7
Dell says it will. It actually uses the Vista driver. If you do not have it, you can download it from:

Original Maual can be downloaded from http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/prn946/en/index.htm Using Your Computer 1. Click Start® Programs or All Programs® Dell Printers® Dell AIO Printer 946.
2. Select Dell All-In-One Center.
3. The Dell All-In-One Center opens.
4. From the Send scanned image to: drop-down menu, select the program you want to use.
5. Click See More Scan Settings to customize your scan.
6. When you finish customizing your settings, click Scan Now.
7. When the printer completes scanning document or image, a file containing is created in the selected application.
