My phone dropped and the screen went blank...after a few times of taking the battery out and putting it back in it is now stuck on the hellomoto start up screen...will not move..but now cannot make/receive calls.....help...is there a reset button
Hi try pulling out the battery for a few min and later when you put back the battery , keep your phone for charging. Then try switching off and off when the charging is taking place. Hopefully it should solve the problem.

either screen or battery issue.
try taking the phone apart and checking that everything is secure, best way to do this is to take it to bits! just put it back together and ensure everything is securely screwed down.
if the problem persists then it must be the battery not holding its charge.
a few things to take into account, have you dropped it? has it ever been exposed to liquid? of no on both try to take the battery out hold the power button for a few seconds put the battery back in and turn the phone back on if it turns on just a software issue. If not or you said yes to the first 2 questions its possible there is damage to the phone, there is a flex strip that connects the phone to the screen if it gets wet it corrodes and if u drop the phone sometimes it comes unpluged. the flex strip coming unpluged is the most common issue with this phone generaly from over extention of the hinge. "opened it up to far"
I dropped my G1, picked it up and it was fine went home a few hours later starting going through my apps it started running weird then it shut off...I took the battery out and put it back in when i did that it vibrated telling me there was life in the battery but the screen stayed blank no G1 intro no android nothing...then screen is not black but a grayish white depending the angle you hold the phone at. I called my carrier we did the reset nothing happened its still stuck at the blank screen? Any help with this?
take battery out ..quickly, then blow or use a vacuum to **** water out.
put it in a ziplock with rice, uncooked of course and it should recover ... battery might be toast. so power it on after a few hours with the charger.
remove the memory card, then remove the battery from the phone. Wait a minute install battery into phone and turn on. If all is good, power phone off before installing memory card. As a safety precaution, do not install or remove memory cards, in any device, with power on.
your firmware is corrupt, the only way to revive your phone is re flashing it.Its hard to do, and by doing it wrong may damage your phone. To safely retrieve your phone is let the experts do it or go to a near cell repair shop and let them help you out,
if you want to do it your self, try this
first you need is a RSD lite program or flash and back-up to flash or reformat your Motorola,
to enter the bootloader
* then the # then power button, your phone will boot to bootloader, and
you will see there the flash program of your phone,
start the program rsd lite or flash and backup then connect it to your computer VIA usb, automatically the program will detect your phone,
i prefer that you first buck up your firmware by using F&B (Flash and backup) then use RSD lite to flash your Motorola,
RSD lite its much easier to use than F&B, but for safety backup first your firmware,
