I can't tap in the numbers for the pin number properly. The screen loads correctly but it seems i need to tap at the opposite end of the screen to hit a "6" for instance. Its as if the touch sensitivity is rotated 180 degrees to the image.
Lots of important data on the internal memory, so i dont want to hard reset. Any suggestions?

It should just pop in on most models, what is the name and model number of the unit? Also you have to wind the string in the opposite direction that the unit spins, if not the spool will come undone. If you are rewinding the spool in the right direction then perhaps there is grass or something preventing the spool from seating all the way down. Clean if necessary, then try giving it a firm tap with palm of hand. Some have a twist lock feature, but I really need the info. to help any further. If you type: manufaturername.com( like toro.com) you can find instructions for you unit. Get back to me if you need help.
Tap 'Applications' to open the main apps menu and then tap 'Settings'. You may need to sweep with your finger to a new screen of shortcut icons before you can see 'Settings'. Tap 'Location and security' then tap 'Set screen lock'. Next tap 'PIN' to set up a pin number for the lock screen. here you can set and reset your password
Go to parental controls in system settings.
When it asks 'Change Parental Controls settings?' tap yes.
When it brings up a numeric keypad, tap the center button, "I Forgot".
Next, tap "I Forgot" again. Now you will be shown a screen with a number at the bottom (the 'inquiry number').
Go to: http://wii.marcansoft.com/parental.psp
Enter the 'inquiry number' number in the field marked confirmation
number. Set the current date in your timezone and click get reset code.
And Voila! Your DSi is now parental control free!
To perform a hard reset on your phone, do the following: 1. Take the battery out. 2. Hold down the circular red "end call" button while putting battery back in phone. 3. Release red button when a message appears asking you if you want to erase all data. 4. Press up on the main cicular "palm" button in the center of the phone. That's it.
That is not the model number for your opener. The model number is on the opposite end of where you found that number. It starts with 139. and you should be able to down load a manual from Sears Parts or you can google owners manuals.
On the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go you will find the smart/learn button. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to your keypad and key in any 4 digit PIN you like and press enter. On the opposite end of the motor unit you will find the model number. You need this to get the correct remotes.
The ladies Relic used two different link systems. The easiest is the easy link system. This is a series of links that are put together with clasps. Simply undo the clasp of the number of links to remove. Its like a series of buckles. The second is a cotter pin or tension pin. You will need to push the pins out from the right end with a narrow punch. To tell the right end of a cotter pin look for the split at one end that makes it look like a screw. The opposite end will be smooth. The smooth end is the end you place your punch on and push the cotter pin out. To tell the right end of the tension pin look for the end that looks the snuggest and possibly has a dimple. The opposite end will look smaller in diameter. The smaller end is where you will place your punch to push out the pin.
Although this can be easy i always recommend going to a qualified watch maker/technician to insure you do not damage the band when removing the link.
You can try a master reset. With the unit off hold your finger on the upper right hand corner of the touch screen and tap the power button. Continue holding your finger on the screen until you see a message "This operation will erase all waypoints, do you want to continue?" (this could take up to a minute)
Tap yes and the unit should reboot then attempt to acquire satellites.
I have a similar watch and removing the links are not easy. There are pins in certain links that have arrows on the inside of the band. I used a push pin to remove the pins in the direction of the arrows. Snip the end of the push pin with a wire cutter or pliers so that it fits into the hole and tap the top of the push pin with a small hammer until the other end of the pin is exposed enough to extract it with a set of needle nosed pliers. Repeat for other side of link. When the pin is extracted, twist the link inward and it should snap out.
Remove the link and reverse the procedure, placing the pin in the opposite direction as it was extracted. You may have to tap it gently with the push pin and hammer to get it to go into the holes flush.
It takes a little while and some patience, but if you can get someone to hold the band for you while you tap the pin, it will be easier. Also, if you remove the spring loaded pin from the band fastener so the band can be laid out straight, it will also be easier. Good luck!
