Dell 3100cn laser printer: where is the slot for the memory expansion? I want to put in 512 MB Ram. Is there any PDF file that gives me assistance to upgrade the memory? Regards, Fritz (mail at obefritz.de)
Memory Upgrade for Dell Color Laser Printer
3100cn Printers, the Dell Color Laser Printer 3100cn Printers takes the
PC133 SDRAM SODIMMs Memory Type, and comes installed with 64 MB
(non-removable) of Memory. You can upgrade your Dell Color Laser
Printer 3100cn Printers to up to a maximum of 576 MB Memory, the system
has 1 socket to install Memory, already with 64 MB (non-removable)
standard Memory installed.

You should be able to get crucial or the likes to send you the correct memory - as for where it goes that will be in the manual
Dell link to upgrade memory
web archive version of the manual
scroll to the bottom to download the file ( not sure if the images are included )
However if you are facing the printer with the control panel directly in front of you there is a panel on the left hand side half way up near the rear side that you should be able to take off and the memory cards are installed there.
I gave more specific information - can you alter the rating please.
Thanks for altering the rating

Thank you for your answer.
I just ordered the 512MB some hours before.
What I want to know is where the socket within the printer is, where i have to put the memory when i have it.
And especially how far do i have to "open" the printer (with screwdriver or other things) to be able to put the memory in.
Regards
Fritz
oh sorry, you wrote: "as for where it goes that will be in the manual". But i did not find any hint about memory upgrade in the user manual. Neither where would be the socket for the memory.
