Dryer will only get hot in more dry cycle not in timed wont even tumble in fluff only. it is a gas dryer it makes a clicking sound intermittently when running

Sounds like the control switch is bad. You should be able to find one on ebay, and a video on how to replace it on "you tube".

My gas dryer works (it runs and has heat) but it switches into cool down mode way too soon so the clothes don't dry. this happens even on the timed dry cycle.

The coils on the gas valve may be bad causing it too shut off too soon

Dryer does not dry clothes completely

If your machine is taking that long to dry. You either have a clogged vent to the outside or your gas valve coils are bad. You can check to see if it is your vent by disconnecting it for one cycle. The gas coils have failed. These are the two round devices on the gas valve. You would need to open the dryer to access and replace the gas valves. Every make and model is different.

when you say heat up is it at least getting warm...
you may have a igniter gone bad or your thermostat may have failed... your igniter is what has to ignite the gas to burn to make it hot. If its electric then your heating coil has failed and needs to be replaced

with a gas dryer in which your assured te hventing is free and clear of any obstructions, i would look to replace the coil pack located atop the gas valve itself, probably about $25 part number 279834... 2 coils simply mount atop the valvle

check the heater coil and limit switches....if either are bad you wont get any heat

Estate dryer about 5 years old.. taking a long time to dry.. doesn't seem as though it is heating up enough... ;last load it was not heating up, then i changed the drying setting.. it dried. Now it is not...

check the heating element and limit switches if they go bad it will take longer for clothes to dry

The coils on this unit are located on the gas/burner valve Assembly. this is a all in one situation. everything is located on the gas valve assembly. you will need to remove the coils from the gas valve assembly.they are attached to the valve assembly.

Located on the back side of the unit on the lower back side. (right)
