Check the troubleshooting section of the manual. Usually, there is a list of error codes and what they represent. May give you some information of what is amiss. Sometimes you can search the internet, input:

"Make" "Model" error code D1 or D3

Singer Futura CE-250 error 6 when I am just sewing

This error means that the arm is not getting the electronic information with the main machine.Make sure the arm is "leveled' with the main machine. I found this out moving gently the arm up or down. I use a piece of thick paper folded in half and put it under one side of the machine (usually the front part of the arm) and then the arm moved showing that the connection was successful. Hope it make sense and helps!

My machine is giving me an error 88 and keeps flashing fast when I turn it on.

I had that problem when the machine was not threaded correctly. I now floss the thread back and forth through the tension area everty time I thread the machine, to make sure the thread is in the right place.
