RCA T.V. THE T.V. WOULD KEEP GOING ON AND OFF. CALLED DIRECT T.V. THEY SAID IT WAS THE BATTERIES IN THE REMOTE, WE PUT NEW BATTERIES IN AND IT DID THE SAME THING. TURNED OFF THE T.V. TO LET THE DISH RESET AND THE T.V. WOULDN'T COME BACK ON.

You may have a stuck button and not know it. look at the led end of the remote with the camera on your cell phone. If you have a stuck button you will see the led flashing. If it isn't flashing. push a button to see the led flash. Keep pushing different buttons to see if the led will flash without holding a button down. If you push a button and the led doesn't flash, it can be worn carbon button or the ic in the remote is failing If this test procedure does not find why the remotes die. you may want to invest in a a remote that will never become obsolete or worry about codes to operate more devices. How to Reset a RCA Remote Control

Remove the batteries, press and hold down the #1 button on the keypad for 60 seconds, insert batteries and try the "Direct Code Entry" process again. You may need to do this 3-5 times to clear it. Then try reprogramming. After resetting the remote control, reprogramming is required.

I need the code that corresponds with a Magnavox TV.

try these first, MAGNAVOX and 0000,0001,0002,0003,0004.

Note: most remotes allow you to find the code by turning the TV on first, then setting the the remote in to "program" mode, then keep pushing the "off/power" button until the TV turns off, at that point the code is set.

My tv is a rca r52wh76 tv and it keeps popping on and off the menu, the input keeps changing and the sound keeps going down to no sound

did u check the remote? i mean remove the batteries of the remote and remove the tv from electricity and put it back on the tv but not the remote batteries and check if it works normal and if it does buy a new remote.

I have an RCA universal remote and a Sanyo TV. I

Take out the batteries,leave the remote to be unpower about an hour.Let all old memory codes erase it self.Put in new batteries to the remote.Enter the codes again.Should work now.

your best bet is going to be contacting rca and having them send you out a new remote alot of the universals have a 50/50 chance of having the needed frequency so I try to say away from them
