Self emptying rain sensor will not communicate with wireless thermo-hygro sensor new unit right out of the box. I have tried resetting the units up by following your directions half a dozen times I have also bought new batteries thinking that the batteries sent with the unit were no good. The wind gauge sensor is picked up and the Thermo-Hygro sensor is also picked up on the base station but not the rain sensor. Any help will be appreciated thank you.
Double check that the cell is in the proper way. Sometimes it is put in upside down. (we've all done this). Secondly there may be a + mark next to a contact, on some models it is necessary to short out the mechanism to the cell to activate the watch. You can use a couple of straight pins, place one on the + contact on the movement and the other to the top of the battery that is facing up and touch the 2 needles together. Like I said on some models that is done to start the watch. It may even instruct you to do so on the back cover.
good luck hope this helps. gabe.
