SOURCE: Sony NW A3000 Walkman

Follow these steps- - Open the Sony Walkman from "My Computer". - Open the folder inside, then delete all the "DAT" files. - Open the second foler which is inside the first foler and delete all these files. - Close that and then open up "SonicStage" - Now delete all the files from your library, but, DO NOT delete them from your computer. - Now import all the songs again and it should pick up the device and start to transfer with no problems. I have done this with my Sony Walkman and it now works. If you experiance more problems contact me at [email protected]

SOURCE: problem with sonicstage software

Try downloading the newest version of SonicStage from the website.
Select your Model and click the blue button.
That one supports Vista.

I have a sony network walkman nw-e55. the problem is that windows 7 doesn't recognize the device and i can't transfer music to it. install sonic stage didn't solve it and i can't find a driver that works....

Hi,

The NW-E55 Walkman Player is compatible only with the SonicStage Software for transferring the songs. Unfortunately, the Software is not compatible with the Windows 7 OS and won't be able to transfer the songs from the Windows 7 OS using the SonicStage Software. Only option to transfer the songs to the Player using the Software is via Windows XP or Vista. However. once you install the Software and transfer the songs, you've to use the same computer to transfer or delete the songs again.

Thanks for contacting FixYa.

How to create my own library?

You will need to download and install sonicstage as this is the only program that can convert your MP3's to the sony walkman format. Once this has been installed, click file, import, scan folder, settings then choose the folder where you music is stored (i.e. my documents, my music) click ok and you music should be imported into you sonicstage library. Once your files are in sonicstage you can use the red arrow buttons to transfer the music you want onto your connected sony walkman

1. dwl sonicStage (free)
2.- in the walkman went to menu/initialize/format
then displayed a confirmation screen, I confirmed
it displayed "formating...... COMPLETE"
3.- THEN plugged into the PC and transfered songs with Sonic
