Yes. on Maytag usually runs fro left rear of tub to the control panel. You will have to pop the lid up to get to it. It may have pulled off the lower nipple or rubbed a hole in it somewhere.

I have a whirlpool duet washer model wfw9400sw04 sometimes it will not stop filling with water could the water inlet valve be bad

If you can turn machine off or even unplug it and water still runs in, the valve would be the problem. Otherwise it's probably pressure Switch or tubing stopped up going from pressure switch to tub.

Water wont stop filling up

If water keeps filling or dribbling into the machine with the power off it's the water inlet solenoid. If it overfills only during the cycle then it is the pressure switch or pressure switch tube.

Water will not stop running during cycle. the code says it water pressure but you have to shut off the water to make it stop

It could be one of two things. If the water runs into the machine even when the washer is turned off, you need a new water valve. If the water only comes in when called for then doesnt stop you need a new pressure switch and possibly a new pressure switch hose

Not knowing exactly what type of pressure washer you have, most are equipped with an "unloader valve" so the pressure bypasses. If this is malfunctioning, the pressure will build up and bog the engine down.

My P11897 washer pump runs until I connect the

Dear Davidandkath,
I am assuming that by feed hose you mean the water supply inlet. Well if you connect the water supply inlet and the gun is closed, then the machine will stop. This is normal. Now if you open the gun and the machine still stays dead...then the control valve that operates a micro switch is stuck in a position that leaves the micro switch off.
So you must open machine and see a spill valve(pressure control valve)...this will have a cap on it with a wire. This wire is feeding electricity to the micro switch. You can lubricate the spill valve, but myself I change with a new one. You must also check that the micro switch is OK. To open the outer cover there are screws which are normaly TORX ..T15 size. Another reason for the machine to stop dead is that the outlet hose is blocked or the wand( Gun ) is blocked.
Regards,
Fulltech.

Kennmore washing machine Model 11026722693 water level overflows and won't stop filling....

Unplug you washer, if water still runs into you machine, you have a bad water valve. If it does not your selector switch is bad. This is the switch where you set the size load you want to wash. If you will go to www.partselect.com This is their part number PS342529 for your part. enter it in the box and this will bring up the part you need. From there you can order it. Good luck.

Water keeps flowing non-stop with my old Kenmore washer

Check the pressure switch and the pressure switch hose.
Remove the end caps on the console and remove the 2 screws that hold it down. Pull slightly from the bottom of the console and flip it up. On the left side you should see the pressure switch (water level switch) with a few wires and a small hose connected to it. The hose should be connected between the pressure switch and the tub. In most cases the pressure switch hose sometimes falls off over time due to vibration.
Replace the hose if it is damaged. If there are no visible holes or cracks in the hose, try trimming 1/4" off each end of the hose (pressure switch side and tub side) and reconnect them making sure to push hose ends securely onto connections. This is done because the hose sometimes stretches at the connection points and you will lose air pressure inside the switch, therefore the water will never shut off.
Alternatively you can use small clamps on each end.
If this doesn't work, check the function of the pressure switch by attaching a small hose to it and blowing lightly into the pressure switch while the machine is filling. You should hear a click and the inlet water valve should turn off. If it doesn't turn off you may need to replace the pressure switch or if the machine fills even when it's in the off position replace the inlet water valve.
Good luck!

WHIRLPOOL TOP LOADER OVERFILLING WATER

While it is filling up try this. Unplug the washer from the wall, if the water still runs then you need to replace the mixing valve. If the water stops then take the screws out at the base of the console and flip the controls back. Look for the clear hose that goes to the water pressure switch and make sure that it is connected. If it is connected take it off the switch and blow through it to see that it is clear of any obstructions.
If this only overfills after the first ore second wash then you may have the slow drain and the drain hose is in the downspout too tight.
Possible items needed;
#1 mixing valve
#2 pressure switch
#3 plumber

Washer will not complete the cycle.

Check if you have power to the inlet solenoid/valve where the hose connects to the machine. There is a thin tube running from the outer drum at the back of the machine to a pressure switch. This pressure switch controls the water level in the washer. Remove this tube from the pressure switch and blow back into the machine. There could be a blockage in the tube. To check if the pressure switch is faulty, pull the tube off the pressure switch and let the machine fill. If the machine fills to a high level, switch it off before it overflows. Replace the pressure switch.
