This Tv was given to me by my girlfriends parents the sound and picture are there but there seems to be alot of orange faces and red.what do i need to do?the intellisense does nothing it just pops up on the screen moves around and stops and its still the same thing on screen.
You got a convergence board problem that would need to be repaired around $150 bucks.. This would need to be done by a repair technition as there are things that need to be reset inside once the new part is in place.

When a red key appears in
the lower left corner of your Apex television screen, the set's V-chip is
engaged, preventing you from watching restricted content. You can override
parental controls and reset your television's pass code with your remote. Parental Lock
The Apex prompts you to enter a 4-digit code when you set up
parental controls. You can block programs according to their MPAA ratings
or their content designations, such as V for violence or S for ******
situations.
Disabling the Lock
You can override parental controls on most Apex models by
simultaneously pressing the F and mute buttons on the remote control. If
you own Apex models GT2011J or GT2011S, hold the remote's display button
for ten seconds. The red key will vanish and the V-chip will unblock your
program.
Override CodesApex's default parental lock control code is 6688, so if you haven't set
a new code, entering 6688 will remove the red key and unblock your program. If
you've set a new password and forgotten it, entering 3308 will reset the code
and unblock your program.
normally when something like this happens, we could right away propose what can be done, in your case, since youve already changed a lot of parts on that tv, you can at anytime fix it. the tv alone is not fixed yet as of the moment but to some it up, experts have already given you some ideas on how to fix the tv. cheers. hope youll fix that tv in no time.
Look to the owner manual if you have it as it will likely have the answer you need--if no manual Google the model number with "manual" to try to locate the owner manual---if get or have it read it carefully as it sounds like to me the parental lock is on or something similar to it.
your read crt is shorting out sorry to say the crts are no longer avail, you can have them rebult but on a projection set they will never look good due to phosforous burn I would say it is time to retire the set
Remove back see if you can get to tubes top lenses clean all 3 from dirt/dust/ After cleaning off lenses there is a black control box has 3 controls on top 3 on bottom these are to adjust each tube R-G-B Tubes screen/ focus adjust one tube at a time--- Like to adjust red turn g,b.screen drive off turn red up adjust focus to a clear picture ,then green same and blue If you turn screen up to much it will either shut off or you will see Drive lines adjust back down.OK after doing this turn color off in menu adjust all 3 screen controls untill you have Black and white picture try to adjust as close as you can to get bl/wt picture when that is done now turn color on and you should have alot better picture.
