SOURCE: Unable to focus camera.

The common cause of lines across the picture is a stuck shutter. This will cause over exposed pictures, out of focus, with lines across them. If the problem is infact a stuck shutter it will require full disassembly to fix, which will be somewhere between $100 and $200 to fix depending on where you send it. An image sensor failure, or focus motor failure can also cause simular problems - but they also cost simular amounts to fix. David Millier Advance Camera Repair

SOURCE: camera fell on floor, now pictures out of focus

Hello,

That's because the internal focus servomotors are out of place and can't turn the focus ring. I'm sorry but these components are located inside the lens assembly and this is not by any means an user serviceable part. It's composed of tiny servomotors, small coils and plastic parts that can get out of possition or decalibrated if the lens assembly gets opened.

A thing to try would be to hold the camera with it's lens barrel opened in one hand and hit it (gently yet still firmly) against the other hand. There are some small chances that this will bring the internal focus ring to it's former alligment. Other then this, only a service center can fix the camera, but it could turn out to be an expensive repair.

I'm sorry for having to bring the bad news.

Some of my pictures are blurry using a cannon rebel 3. how can i fix this problem?

There are several possible causes for blurry pictures.
1) Camera motion. If everything is blurry, it's most likely because the camera moved while the picture was being taken. Make sure your shutter speed is fast enough if you're handholding the camera (longer lenses require faster shutter speed). Alternatively, put your camera on a stable surface, such as a tripod or a tabletop.
2) Subject motion. If the subject is blurry but the background is sharper, then the subject may have moved while the picture was being taken. Use a faster shutter speed. Raise the ISO if needed. There are limits, of course. If you're trying to photograph a fast-moving object in the dark, you probably won't be able to.
3) Improper focus. If the subject is blurry but something else in the picture is sharp, then the camera probably focused on the wrong object. Move the focus selector to the subject you want in focus. Alternatively, center the viewfinder on the subject, press the shutter button halfway to lock focus, then reframe and shoot.
Without any more specific information as to what and how your pictures are blurry, I'm afraid the above is all I can give you.

Picture once put into compoto r shows it is blurry.

If your pictures show up blurry on the computer, either they are not focused or you need to switch your camera to a larger format. When you look at a picture on a 2X2 screen, what looks clear will lose purity when you blow it up. If your pictures are 500K they will only look good when they are small. If you set the camera for 1.5MB, they will look good when they are enlarged. Compare the pictures taken by a cell phone with those taken with a 10MP camera. You will see the difference right away.

VIEW SCREEN IS SO BLURRY I CAN'T TELL WHAT ITS SHOWING.

Is it the viewfinder (that you hold up to your eye) or the screen that's blurry?
If the viewfinder is blurry, there should be a diopter adjustment to fix it, probably right above the rubber eye cup.
If the screen is blurry, you should take some pictures and video and view them on a computer. I they are sharp on the computer but blurry on the camera screen, there may be a problem with the screen and you may need to take it in for repair.
If the pictures are blurry on the computer as well, the camera may not be focusing properly. If you can't focus manually, or the camera can't focus when auto focus is turned on, you have good light, and aren't too close to your subject, then it may need to be serviced.

My problem is blurry photos. Problem occurs when taking pictures over a few feet away. I have tried manual focus, with no improvement. The pictures are blurry but I don't think it's a focus problem. No...

You haven't switched the camera to "macro" mode by any chance? Flash should eliminate camera shake as the source of the problem. If it isn't macro mode, then it sounds like a fault requiring the repair shop.

Focus not working

You have a bad lens, not worth repairing. Look to sell as is on Ebay for parts value. The screen and other parts can be salvaged.

Blurry video recording

Since the camcorder returns to the auto shutter setting and the auto exposure setting when it's switched into Night Capture mode, I would say that might be your problem.  Change your shutter and exposure settings. To do this, switch to Camera mode, turn the menu dial to the setting you wish to change then press enter.  You may have to play with the settings until you get the desired picture. Remember, faster shutter speeds for faster action (stop action), and longer exposure settings for darker situations. Let me know if you need more help.

JVC Picuture gets blurry

The ccd block is starting to fail. Thats the chip thats the eye of the camcorder at the back of the lense assy. Its mounted on a small circuit board. You can find the chip at parts.com. Its just a matter of dissassembling the camcorder and removing the chip from the board and soldering another onto it taking care not to over heat the chip. You do need good soldering skills.

Pictures are blur

Hi,

Your pictures are blurry because the camera did not focus properly on the subject.

First, turn on the camera in any picture taking mode (or video mode), then look at the screen or viewfinder. There should be four white corners in the center of the camera display. This is your targeting area.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Aim the camera at your subject so this center area is directly on it.

2. Press the shutter button lightly, not all the way down. Wait for a second or two WITHOUT RELEASING YOUR FINGER. If the white corners turn green, keep the finger on the button and press it all the way.

(Once the screen flashes black, a picture is taken and you can release the finger).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If the targeting area turns red and blinks, then the camera has not focused. You can to try to focus again by following step 1 and 2. If a picture is taken when the targeting area is red, then the picture will be blurry.

If there is no targeting area, then you can still focus by aiming the camera at your subject. Now follow step 2. A green box will appear on the subject, then a sharp picture can be taken.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The red arrow that flashes means that the pictures or videos are being written onto the memory card.

Also, try to be steady when taking pictures, because slight hand movement can cause blurry images too.

Page 25 in the DMC-FZ7's english manual will also explain how to focus.
