How can I set up a linksys n600 pro to make it work to extend my net area around my 3 level house

Sure you can if your router has multiple ports (Ethernet). So let say you need a connection in the 2nd level then buy the length of cable and connect teach end to the PC and the modem.
Another option is to buy a WiFi extender.
Here are some samples:

Netgear ext

Once the range extender is in "discover" mode it will find your existing wireless network. It will then take the name of it and add '_ext' to it. giving you a second wireless network. For instance, if your wireless network was called my-house, the extender would create one called my-house_ext.

I cant access the 192,168,2,1

Hi there! smile.gif Please note that the Tenda 150mbps Wireless Range Extender A3 uses a default IP address of 192.168.0.254 - you must set your IP address to the 192.168.0.* range (* = any number between 2 and 253) to login.

The default access username / password (if required) are admin and admin.

Once you've logged in, you can configure the access point to route through your existing wireless router as the default gateway (eg. if your wifi router is 192.168.1.1, then you would route through that, and set your Repeater (Extender) IP to 192.168.1.2 so that you can connect to it and then "relay" your connection through the repeater. It doesn't mirror the connection details for the existing wifi router, it simply creates an "additional" access point to connect through to your existing wifi router - creating a bridge, essentially.

The extender can be linked to the existing wifi router via LAN cable or WDS. For WDS, you will need to set the IP's 1 digit apart in the last segment (see above IP difference), and switch them both in the Wireless menu to ""Wireless Networking Mode: Network Bridge (WDS), but the SSID must remain the same (eg. "Tenda1") for both of them (it doesn't cause a network loopback), and any wireless security authentication must be identical (password / pass phrase / key + encryption algorithm) on both devices. Again, as with the above point, remember to set the gateway of the extender / repeater to that of the primary WiFi router.

For extra information and disambiguation (if required), see the following page, and scroll down: http://www.enjoypad.com/wireless-access-point/96-tenda-... Hope i helped you.. great day to you.

Hi, I have a universal wifi range extender wn2000rpt installed and a wireless adapter installed aswell. Now reading the next set of instructions it tells me to connect to NETGEAR_EXT, open a browser and...

NETGEAR_EXT is the name or SSID of the extender. ie Netgear EXTender ;-]
What you need to do is first search for available wireless networks. It should show up there as NETGEAR_EXT if it is running and far enough away from your wifi.
Then open your web browser which should then open the connection wizard . If not you can try www.mywifiext.net. If you can't see it you may need to connect to it using a wire so you can set it up. sometimes if it is really messed up you may need to reset it to factory default.
