SOURCE: removal of front panel HE3 kenmore washer

Follow these steps: 1. Remove the three screws in the back of the machine that holds the top of the washer on. The top case should slide back and then lift off. 2. With the dispenser tray off, remove the torx screw behind it. 3. Now take a putty knife and gently place it under the console just above the door. Gently lift up and pull the console from the left hand side first. It should gradually pop off. Be careful not to damage any of the wire connectors. Lay the console across the top of the washer. 4. Remove door by removing the hinge screws. Support the door while loosening so that it doesn't fall. 5. Feel around behind the rubber door boot at the door opening. There will be a wire retaining hoop holding the rubber boot to the door frame. Find the tension spring at the bottom of the door and pull the hoop out of the groove. 6. Pull door boot off the door frame opening and push it inside the drum. DO NOT remove the boot from the wash tub. 7. Remove the three screws holding the door latch assembly to the front of the washer. 8. The only thing left holding the front of the washer on is four screws. One on each corner at the top and one on each corner at the bottom. Once you remove the last four screws the front of the washer will come right off. I now this seems very involved, but it is simple if you follow the steps given. Reassemble everything in reverse order. Use care when handling the wire harness of the console and the door. Make sure you put the door latch assembly back on FIRST before you reinstall the rubber boot. When reinstalling the door boot reseat the gasket all the way around the door frame first. Then take the wire hoop and reinsert in the groove starting at the 12 o'clock position and work your way around to the 4 and 8 o'clock positions. You might want to have a second person assist you with holding the hoop in place at this point. With tension holding the hoop into the groove, take the remaining portion of the wire hoop and pull down while spreading the tension spring apart to snap it back into place along the bottom of the door. This will be your greatest challenge. The console will snap back into place by inserting the bottom edge first then snapping the top into place. Let me know if you need further assistance. I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: Removal of front cabinet panel of washer section

Should be two screws on each side of the bottom of the front panel. Takes those out and push the panel up and out. (There are two "tabs?" in the middle of the front panel that lock into the side panels, so you have to push up and then pull out.)

SOURCE: removing front panel from kenmore elite HE-3 front load washer?

If you've removed the screws and the panel sticks, tapping on each side will knock it loose. The panel should drop down, then off. You can also try propping the two front feet of the washer up slightly for better access. A 2x4 works real well. This will allow more room for the panel to drop and gives better access to the screws. The washer is very heavy, so you may need some assistance to lift the front. Either lift from the bottom, or place your hands on the front facing of the cabinet to push the washer back. DO NOT push on the door or control panel.

If you still need assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Kenmore HE 3T. Door won't open.

This advice is for Kenmore Elite and Whirlpool Duet model front loading washers. If you experience a problem where the door becomes jammed and will not unlock or open, here's an easy way to gain access inside your washer WITHOUT calling the repairman.

1. Remove the lower panel under the door by loosening the three screws under the bottom edge on the front of the washer. HINT: If you prop up the front feet of the washer with some small blocks of wood, this will make access to the screws much easier.
2. With the screws removed, the lower panel should drop down then come off. If the panel sticks, a light tap on either side will knock it loose.
3. Reach your hand up inside the washer behind the front casing on the right-hand side. This is where the door latch assembly is located.
4. At the bottom of the door latch assembly is a small pull tab. This is the manual release for the door. Pull the tab straight down and the door will come open.

Sometimes these doors will not unlock for whatever reason. If there are no error codes being generated, this could have just been a momentary glitch. If you see "Fdl" or "Fdu" error codes, these are usually indications of a failed door latch assembly and will require replacement.

He 3t error code f6,washer will not spin, door will not open

"f6" error code means that there a miss communication between mcu(motor speed control board) and ccu(central control unit). i recommend you to ohm out the motor. most likely its your motor speed control located at the bottom left of the washer good luck. replace the motor speed control board and you should be all set to go.

Getting an F 02 error code with my Kenmore Elite HE 3T

Your filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and other stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 screws. The panel will drop and come off. The filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a bunch of towels and unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in.

*&^% screws!!!

F2 = Long Drain. Most common cause is something (or lots of things) stuck in the drain pump. There are screws at the bottom of the front panel that can be removed to check it out. If the screws look like stars they are Torx head screws, get driver from most home centers.
