A little more detail would help. I have 2 LG's a LED and Plasma and have calibrated them myself with disneys WOW blu Ray Disc.
If you could describe it I could maybe help you find out if maybe your panel is bad or your color saturation is way off.

First you have to check if the back light of the panel works fine . if it's okay ..
Then probably you have a problem with the T-con.
It's a small board at the back bottom side of the panel . Connected to the main board by means of LVDS cable .

Lg 42lg70yd aa Weird screen problem

I've tried the link, but failed to see your youtube video. Anyway, if there are vertical lines, and all of them are closed to each other, indicates either a T'Con or Panel problem. To make it sure, just get into this link http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up older posts there, either by its left side bar or see it in Timeslide option. There are screen shots of different problems to flat panel TVs. Compare them to your TVs' and make sure about the fault.

I've also had a popping noise on our 50" LG plasma TV, however the picture has not gone, but has turned grainy and colors are weird. Can this also be a blown fuse or a more severe problem (ysus board or similar)?

LG Plasma 42pc3d turns on, pops, then turns off

The first thing you should look into is the Z-SUS board, the one situated on the right side viewed from the rear. This board develops a high voltage during operation that might be the source of the popping sound. It is also responsible in refreshing the panel for proper picture display. The weird colors on your TV indicates a faulty Z-SUS board.
Note: Unplug the TV and wait for at least five minutes in order to allow the voltages to drain before you disconnect or reconnect any connector.

  • Disconnect the Z-SUS board from the Y-SUS board. The Z-SUS board is situated on the right side viewed from the rear of the TV while the Y-SUS is on the left.
  • Plug the TV back and turn it on.
  • You will still be able to see the weird colors the moment the TV shut off but do not flash. If it does not pop and stays on and there's a sound, you are pretty sure the Z-SUS board is faulty. Replace it.
  • If it still pops and shuts off, disconnect the Y-SUS board from the power supply. The Y-SUS board also develops a high voltage during operation. The power supply is the one right between the Z and Y-SUS boards.
  • Re-apply AC power then turn the TV on.
  • You'll not be able to see any color or video. If it does not pop and stays on with sound, you have a faulty Y-SUS board, replace it.
  • If it still pops and shuts off, please let me know.
Feel free to update me of the result and your own findings.

Funny colors on Lg Renoir screen.

No major accidents, so small accidents maybe. The phone is under warranty for 12 months, no matter what the phone company you are with says, your statutory rights are not affected, so tell them you want it either repaired or replaced. Your choice.

Screen is now a weird color

The problem might be in the cable. Try to reconnect it to your machine. Also try to set your color settings on the monitor itself, so that all the colors are equal.
