Hi. You should tap the screen with the stylus carefully and with a little bit more pressure, accurately on the cross sign evertime it appears. When you successfully tap each cross sign once, you would be able to pass to the other settings, but in case there is a problem passing though the screen aligning, here is a small tutorial about how to bypass that screen through your PC: (http://goatechno.blogspot.com/2008/12/windows-mobile-stuck-at-screen.html) Hope this helps.

Why does my acer aspire one not boot with a hard drive besides the screen going white when connecting the charger?

If you can plug an external monitor into the laptop, and if it works ok, the video on the laptop is going bad (chip or cable). If an external monitor works, I recommend you back up your data asap, if possible to an external hard drive. No way of telling how long before other things go wrong, and the price of fixing it might cost more than getting a new laptop.

Hi,
Please unplug the battery (remember to disconnect the charger),
then, hold on the power button for a minute,
after that, connect the charger, and try to power on the laptop.

If it didn't work, you need to visit the technician

If it worked, disconnect the charger and connect the battery

Leapstar turns on but when you go to sleet name on screen it nor working it displays anmed but will no proceed when using pen to tap screen

Try to uninstall and re-install the LeapFrog Connect and wait until it finish configuring and updated the software both on the PC and the console, It may takes 10-20 mins for it to complete updating.

One more thing, you have to make sure that you get latest LeapFrog Connect software from LeapFrog website instead of installing it from supplied CD.

Instead of 1 starter game and a few demo game that you get from Leapfrog Connect, you can also get more downloadable games for your Leapster 2. You can get it here:

My phone looses connection very often. it brings up a message saying your answering modem has been disconnected to please check your settings

Try the following, (may work)

To manually select the network operator to use for data connections
You can also manually select your network operator from Connection Setup's
settings screen. Connection Setup will then reconfigure your device's data
connections settings based on the operator that you selected.
1. On the Home screen, slide to the Settings tab and then tap All Settings.
2. On the Connections tab, tap Connection Setup.
3. Select the network Country and Operator you want to use, then tap OK.
Note If you choose a Country and/or Operator that is different from the installed SIM
card network operator, you may not be able to access network services.
4. When prompted to confirm whether you want to configure the data
connection settings based on the selected network, tap Yes.
Connection Setup configures the data connection settings.
5. After the Connection Setup completes the configuration, tap Restart.

When I plug the gps into the charger a computer picture shows up and I can't get it on any other screen. What's the matter?

Did you recently purchase that charger?

This usually happens when the charger is not compatible with the unit. or you could be using a non-Garmin charger. There are some "store-brand" chargers that work well, and some do not. Store brand Charger are made to be Universal. To fit multiple devices and maximize profits. You want a Garmin Specific Charger, and here is the logic why...

The reason behind it:

1. The Garmin USB Cable that you connect to your computer has a special 4-pin configuration telling the GPS that is is connected to a computer. This is the configuration most "generic" chargers use to maximize device compatibility.

2. The Garmin Car Charger has a different pin configuration with 2 less pins, giving it only positive ( + ) and Negative ( - ) to charge the GPS.

When the GPS receives the 4 pin, which is also found in a "Motorola" Cell phone charger, it will automatically sense that it is connected to a computer.

Long winded, but I wanted to explain why. Simple fix, Just go get a new charger and make sure it's Garmin compatible.

I have had a jvc GZ-MG130U for a while. The kids have recorded a whole bunch of things and I finally downloaded it to the PC in order to empty the camcorder. But when I started deleting all the files,...

That's a bummer. I have the same camcorder and yesterday 10-3-2010 mine did the same thing. I deleted some files from the file folder located on my camcorder from my computer (which I learned not to do), went to the disconnect device on the computer and it said "safe to disconnect" so I did. The screen on the camcorder said "connecting to device" the whole time I was transferring files to my computer and after my computer said it was safe to disconnect. After it was safe to remove my camcorder, I unplugged the usb cable and tried to turn off the camcorder and nothing happened. I removed the wall charger and battery which finally turned off the camcorder. I then tried to turn the camera on and same thing as you, Everio sign came on and then the screen went blank. Nothing was accessible after turning the power on. One time an error sign appeared saying something like disc broken, need to restore disc to record video. I tried everything, turning on with wall charger and no battery, pushing buttons while it was turning on, holding down buttons, etc. Finally I tried something that made it work. Don't know exactly what I did, but it started working.
Solution: With the power in off position and the battery removed, as well as the wall charger cable removed, I flipped open the screen, opened the lens, connected the wall charger, turned switch to on position and let it run its coarse. It was on for 5 mins or less then shut itself off. I then flipped the switch to off, let it sit for a few minutes and turned it back on, while it was booting up (this part has no logic behind it) I pushed the "plastic" lock buttons for the battery and a screen appeared asking me if I wanted to restore the hard drive. I quickly clicked yes and all is well. The camcorder is back to factory settings but it at least works. Luckily I copied everything before it crashed. The key for the future is to not delete files from the camcorder while it's connected to your computer.
Sorry for the long post, but hopefully it helps.

AIRTEL GPRS settings for HTC Touch P3452

THIS SHOULD HELP U......

On Windows Mobile 6.x, the steps to configure are as follows:

1. Activate Airtel Live by sending the following SMS to 121: MASALA ACTIVE.
2. The service takes atleast 3-4 hours to get active. Restart the phone and resume configuring.
3. Tap Start -> Settings.
4. Select Connections Tab and tap Connections.
5. Select Advanced Tab, tap Select Networks button to bring up Network Management.
6. Under "Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using:" drop down, tap the New button.
7. In the General Tab, type the name of the settings as Airtel Live
8. Select Modem tab, tap New...
9. Type the name of connection as Airtel Live, select the modem as Cellular Line (GPRS) and tap Next.
10. Type Access Point Name as airtelfun.com and tap next.
11. Leave username, password and domain blank and tap finish.
12. Select Proxy Settings tab. Tap "This network connects to the Internet". This should enable the next check box option.
13. Tap "This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet".
14. Type the proxy server as: 100.1.200.99 and then tap Advanced...
15. Tap HTTP, leave the server as 100.1.200.99 and change the port to 8080
16. Similarly tap WAP, Secure WAP and Socks, type the server as 100.1.200.99 but leave the port to defaults. These are optional settings.
17. Tap OK to close the Advanced proxy setup screen.
18. Tap OK to close the New connection screen.
19. The network management screen should now list the new connection you have created in the drop-down. Tap OK to close this screen
20. Tap OK to close the connection screen.

Now you are ready to fire your favourite browser. I have tested this on PIE as well as Opera 9.5 and it works for me.

If PIE reports "Request not authorized by the WAP Gateway", you will need to change the user-agent to anything you can think of using "Advanced Config" tool (thanks to dsixda for suggesting this). I had set it to HTCP3452_Mozilla/4.0 under Advanced Config -> Internet Explorer -> User Agent Custom Base.

I think Airtel has intentionally blocked Mozilla/4.0 user-agent on WM phones. It may be that they cannot restrict Windows Mobile based phones from accessing websites on standard HTTP. On other phones I had tried, I could not get other sites to work with the same settings.

Enjoy Airtel Live for free.

Bluetooth Internet Connection Problem

You have established a bluetooth connection between your Palm and your PC, but you probably haven't configured your internet connection to be shared with the Palm. o do so, open My Network Places by right-clicking it and selecting Properties. The Bluetooth Network adapter was automatically created during the Bluetooth installation. Right click the icon and select Properties. In the General tab select the Internet Protocol components and click Properties. Write down all the information from the next dialog, and click Cancel. Back in the Adapter properties, select the "Sharing" tab and check "Enable Internet Connection Sharing for this connection". Now, to configure the Bluetooth USB, right-click the Bluetooth icon in the system tray and select Advanced Configuration. Change to the Local Services tab and double click "Network Access". Change the type of service to "Allow other devices to acces the Internet/LAN via this computer". The alternative to this option will allow your device to connect to your computer as part of a LAN, but will not have internet access. Note the Configure Connection Sharing button: it'll open the configuration screens we've visited before. But some Bluetooth software will not have this button, hence I guided you through the other route . On your Palm device, a new Connection configuration is needed. From the Palm Launcher open the Prefs application, and switch to Connection. You'll see a list of connections and will tap the New... button. You can assign any meaningful name to this connection. Select the values as indicated in this image. Tap the device name to choose what computer will be used for this connection. Make sure your computer is in discoverable mode. If you tap the Details button you'll see the next screen. Now create a new Network access configuration, using the connection created in the previous steps. Tap Network to go to the next screen. Tap the New... button and enter a name for your Network access configuration. You shouldn't need a username and password. Tap the Connect button and you should see your LAN connection initiating. To make sure the connection is working, still in the Connect dialog, tap the menu Preferences and select Options. Choose View Log and the screen you see will show the negotiation between the Palm and the DHCP server on the network. To check your DNS is working, scroll to the bottom of this log, and enter PING and a hostname. Use the Return stroke as an Enter and If your connection does not complete, or if your Palm shows a Timeout error, try adding a script to this connection. This is common with Palm OS 4. Newer versions of Palm OS should not need any script to work. From the Network dialog, tap the Details button. On the next dialog tap the Script button. On this script dialog enter the following: SEND CR DELAY 1 SEND CLIENT WAITFOR CLIENTSERVER END Hope this works!
