SOURCE: Doesn't spin the clothes dry on the final spin but spins at high revolutions without a load of clothes

I have read that if the pump is not draining the tub completely, there is an interlock that prevents the high speed spin from engagin. I have had debris caught in my pump several times (kids!!) with similar issues. There is a trap on the line leading from the tub to the pump which is "supposed" to capture debris, but it doesn't work all that well. Check your pump.....

SOURCE: Affinity Front load washer will not spin out clothes

I replaced the lock assembly. Took about 5 minutes and $70.00 part. It is working perfectly. I also cleaned the filter while I was at it.

SOURCE: Won't spin after wash cycle or rinse cycle

CHECK THE FOLLOWING---

1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.

SOURCE: front load washer frigidaire leaving small marks on clothes

I have twice taken apart this front loader Frigidaire washer (also sold as Kenmore) to replace the rotted out aluminum spider arm supporting the spin-basket (which seems to universally fall apart within 5 years), and now I started observing the described black stain pattern on the clothes. As with the spider arm breakdown, this problem has nothing to do with water hardness, softeners, detergents, or dryers (I line-dry all my clothes), and everything to do with the poor quality design of this machine. I have not yet positively identified the cause of the black stains, but I suspect that the bearing seal is breaking down and in the process is releasing greasy particles that mix with the clothes and create the described black stain patterns. Unfortunately the repair would cost more than a new machine for most people, as the spider arm is probably just about gone by this stage. I am lucky to own another junk washer for spare parts and am able to fix it myself. For skilled do-it-yourself mechanics, it is possible to find a replacement seal and bearings on the internet, assuming the spider arm is new (over $200 part), or still in good shape.

Why does my washer do every thing but spin dry could a pressure swicth be bad on door?

Good Afternoon Dale,

I see that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# ATF7000ES, not spinning your clothes dry. First, if the drum is not spinning at all, I suggest resetting your appliance by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. Once power is restored run a spin only cycle. If it starts spinning and the clothes are still coming out damp, try one of the following:

1)Try changing the spin speed to a higher speed.
2)Make sure that you have not overloaded your washer.
3)Make sure that the wash load is not too small. If you are only washing a couple of items, try adding 1 or 2 similar items to balance the load.
4)Try rearranging the load to allow proper spinning.
5)Check the drain hose for any kinks. If it is kinked, straighten it.
If you are still having trouble with your washer spin drying, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician. Hope this helps.

    -Best Regards-

WASHER WON'T START

Thank you for your inquiry, friend!

I see that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire washer not starting. This sounds like a possible problem with your control panel or keypad. You may need to disassemble the washer in order to pinpoint the possible problem this is not a simple DIY job. I would recommend seeking assistance from a professional technician for proper diagnosis and repair. This will help you avoid future issues as well as possible multiple part purchases. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

I was doing a small load of laundry when the breaker tripped

Sounds like an electrical short somewhere in the washer. Needs to be checked out by qualified service tech.

My Cabrio washer was flashing the F50 code and we replaced the control board (paid for by Whirlpool). After we washed one load of clothes, the washer will not turn back on. What's the problem????? I have...

F-50 or F-51 is the RPS sensor failiure or clothes stuck in between tubs. don"t overload it with small clothes. Sensor has been redesigned and whirpool released repair that it won"t happen again. F1 on begining cycle is pressure sensor which also have been updated but 99% of people are at fault themselfs cause they use regular detergent instead of HE. also, cleaning it once a month is a must......with washing machine cleaner like affresh....

Washer Stops

• Plug cord into live electrical outlet.
• Check fuse or reset circuit breaker.
• Close door and push the start/pause pad to start the clothes washer. For your safety,
washer will not tumble or spin unless door is closed.
• This may be a pause or soak period in the cycle. Wait briefly and it may start.
Check screens on inlet hoses at the faucets for obstructions. Clean screens periodically.
If the sreens are colged or even a little sirty it will stop the washer!

• Plug cord into a live electrical outlet. (Tub light should illuminate).
• Check fuse or reset circuit breaker.
