If you can, upgrade to WinXP (or LINUX) which will make things easier, or else use the re-install disk for your laptop. If you really want Win2000 to work and have lost your original disks, you need to download the appropriate drivers for that machine and install them under Win2000. It is the only way to get things up and running again. Make sure in device manager there are no yellow marks showing error state devices.

Don't use a driver management or automated program to install the drivers; download them one by one from the IBM web site and install and reboot cycle each one separately.

Good luck...

Reboot IBM think pad A21e

There are two possibilities, the hard drive has issues or windows has corrupted files. If you have a cd installation disc for a fresh install, try to see if the operational system will load, no change! the hardware should be checked in the event it needs to be replaced.

Im George. I have a hp dv6700 pc hp Pavilion Entertainmen pc. i upgraded to windows7 and i just fine out that there are 5-drivers missing. can you help me fine them???

You need to update the five devices to drivers which support Win 7.0

Windows may do this automatically by using the Windows Update icon.

If not, right click on 'computer' icon.

Device manager

Click on the devices that are showing elerts.

Right click and select 'update driver'

Ensure you are connected to the Internet in each case.

Some devices may not support Win 7.0 yet.

Sound is not coming from my laptop what shoud i do

  1. Check the volume nob on either side of the laptop, or in front.
  2. Right-Click on My Computer and Click Device Manager to see if the Sound drivers are still present. Usually there will be a caution sign triangle under the device that is missing the drivers. If so, click on the device properties and re-install this driver. Follow the instructions, if Win XP, there will be an option to connect to the internet and search for the driver. Select it and let the system do its job. Make sure your Internet connection is active

I can not get win explorer to load a page it is ibm think pad a21m running win 2000. i can't get it to load a page

Are you sure you're connected to the internet? Is your LAN working? Go to control panel, system, hardware, device manager and find your network adapter(s). Click on it and see if it is working. Do you have a wireless? Do the same thing. Access to a USB wireless you could try? Install it, connect to the internet and see what happens. Sonetimes the LAN adapter in the computer will go bad.
