Question about IBM ThinkPad A21e 2628 Notebook
I upgraded my thinkpad a21e to win 2000 but now i cant connect to internet! i saw in the pc properties hardware device manager and i think that i need ethernet controller, multimedia audio controller, and simple communications controllers, actually, i can see a guess sign in yellow that says "unknown device". please HELP! i did try downloading from the lenovo site but it doesnt works! HELP!
If you can, upgrade to WinXP (or LINUX) which will make things easier, or else use the re-install disk for your laptop. If you really want Win2000 to work and have lost your original disks, you need to download the appropriate drivers for that machine and install them under Win2000. It is the only way to get things up and running again. Make sure in device manager there are no yellow marks showing error state devices.
Don't use a driver management or automated program to install the drivers; download them one by one from the IBM web site and install and reboot cycle each one separately.
