It may be your lid switch is broken. Can you see a slot where your top lid has a 3/4 in shaft that goes into the slot when closed? If there is no slot - then it is under the top at the back of the lid, there is a rod that actuates the lid switch. Maybe it just came apart. The housing of the lid switch mountings break a lot too -- It is plastic. You can get some wire bread twisties and close it up again for temporary fix. but you need to call a service guy to fix it right. You can tell if you switch is working by depressing the button on the micro switch. If it clicks, it works. See if you can secure it in the clicked position and it will spin. DO NOT put your hands in the spinning unit. The lid is the safety -and you just eliminated the safety

Washed cloths still dripping wet after wash cycle completed.

The Problem seems to be with the spin cycle, The cycle isn't spinning fast enough or the spin cycle is too short either way the whole thing can be repaired by trying another timer control.

I just purchased my Cabrio washer...have had it a week. When I use the normal cycle, the machine does not spin the clothes at the end of it so when they cycle is done the clothes are dripping wet. I then...

I have had my Cabrio washer a little over a year. No it isn't suppose to do that. There is a setting for spinning high medium and low spin. Maybe you can change the spin setting manually. See if that works The washer is computer operated so the spinning cycle must be out on your normal cycle. I did myself a favor and I keep all clothes on towels and sheets. I set the temp for the water on what I would like manually. The washer fills up with more water and seems to clean the clothes better and My washer does the same thing from time to time about not spinning. Just remember you can set all wash manually with water temp and spin cycle. Is your washer still under warrenty?

Frigidaire washing machine gets stuck on cycles

The cycle doesn't advance When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

  • It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

2242210 will not spin..wash cycle is fine

Could be several things, but the most common is the lid switch. The little plastic rod on the lid strikes it when the lid is closed. Make sure the switch is not broke. You should hear it click when the lid is closed. If not then it is definitely that.
