been getting a code of p0452 EVAP CONTROL SYSTEM PRESSURE SENSOR low so i took the charcoal canister apart and found the green wire going to the pressure sensor is broken going into the grey wiring clip that goes onto the pressure sensor
They didn't have a fuel pressure sensor in 2000.... are you referring to the fuel tank pressure sensor? That sensor measures the vacuum/pressure in the fuel tank and is related to evaporative emission control. That sensor is externally located directly on top of the fuel pump on top of the fuel tank. It has a 3-wire connector plugged into it.
On most cars code 452 is for a problem with the pressure switch for the EVAP system. The computer vents the gas tank to the vapor canister when the engine is running. One of the valves is not functioning correctly and would need to be tested. You would need to get the complete test procedure for the code that matches your model.
P0453 - Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor High Input
Possible causes- Evaporative Emission System (EVAP) Pressure sensor harness is open or shorted - Evaporative Emission System (EVAP) Pressure sensor circuit poor electrical connection - Faulty Evaporative Emission System (EVAP) Pressure sensor - Damaged fuel tank pressure sensor
That code is for a fuel pressure sensor low voltage. The pressure sensor is located on top of the fuel pump. The fuel tank will need to be dropped in order to service the pressure sensor.
possible causes--- p0453-- - Rubber hose to EVAP control system pressure is clogged, vent, kinked, disconnected or improper connection. - EVAP control system pressure sensor may be faulty - EVAP posible solutions, - Retight gas cap - Replaced EVAP Control System Pressure Sensor. have a good day !!
