Was working fine yesterday on battery. allowed to run until got low battery and hibernation warning and hibernation shut down. usually when this happens I just plug in adaptor and powers back up right away. now after start key is pushed I get maybe 3-5 seconds of green power light, screen stays balck then all power goes away. tried plugging in to recharge with both adptors and no response (power light in left front does not register).

Either the battery is faulty, or the charger is faulty.
Check the fuse in the mains plug, or even the power point you are using could have a bad connection.
Test using a lamp that you know works or a radio or something and try the charger in another outlet to find the fault.

Toshiba satellite A100 screen goes black (like hibernation mode) when I plug in my new iTouch 4th generation. No keys work and nothing fixes it until I turn off the computer. It is fine when the iTouch is...

Word. Only two things I can think of to solve this problem one is to make your pc into a linux/windows dual boot. just plug in your iTouch when you are running linux. There should be no problem at all and no loss of files. two is to do a full system recovery, which means you lose all your files and programs. reply if you need help with doing either one or just google it.

Toshiba Satellite M55-S325 PC Notebook outsde case

You definitely need to bring your laptop to the Toshiba shop near you. There they can facilitate the replacement of your laptop's body (casing). It is a critical task to do and I think a Toshiba authorized shop can help you with this. Thanks.

Satellite (A75S206) runs well from outlet but never from battery. Was told that mobo can't accept dc. Need new mobo. True?

hello loyd516,

Have you tried a new battery? They are much much cheaper, and a whole lot easier to replace than a motherboard.

Here are replacement batteries that I found searching with Google.

According to Toshiba, there has been a battery recall for your specific model.
If that is the case I would definitely contact Toshiba support about it. Maybe you will get a free battery out of the deal. Who knows.
Here is the link and the list(your model is highlighted)

Doesn't start up

remove the primary battery and plug the computer into an AC outlet using the AC adapter. If the computer starts up, one of the batteries need to be replaced. If the battery light on the of the comoputer is blinking, the battery has reached a low batery level, which may not allow the computer to start up. Plug the computer into an AC outlet using the AC adapter to start the computer and allow the battery to charge.

My laptop wont hibernate!

Typically this indicates a problem with a particular piece of hardware or its driver that is not cooperating when windows tries to hibernate. Do you have anything new attached to the system? If so, try unplugging it, rebooting, and see if it cooperates then. Also, have you checked the windows event log to see if windows reports any particular errors when trying to hibernate?
