SOURCE: Ok, i have two things to ask

1. The emachines W3503 has an integrated ATI Radeon™ X300 based graphics card. It has also a PCI Express (PCIe x16) slot available.

2. The emachines W3052 has a NVIDIA® GeForce®4™ MX graphics card. I'm not sure whether it is integrated or not, but I'm sure that if it is not, it will be an AGP graphics card. Since The emachines W3503 has a PCI Express (PCIe x16) slot available for installing a graphics card, the swapping of graphics cards between the 2 machines is not possible since they support different types of graphics cards.

SOURCE: amber colored power light on eMachine W3503

The amber power light indicates that your computer has been "sleeping" or "hibernating" and usually all it takes to restart the computer is tapping a key on the keyboard. If this is not the case, try holding the Power switch down for 6-10 seconds to force the system off. Restart in Safe Mode and try to find the settings for Sleep/hibernate, open the control panel and open the Screen Saver. Select "Change Power Settings" and set it for "Never" on sleep and hybernate.

The eMachines W3503 uses an Intel D101GGC motherboard.

eMachines Support isn't going to show you squat.

This is Intel Support, and the download page for the Motherboard Manual, for the above motherboard,

How to replace the hard drive on an emachines model EL 1352 G

Take off the side panel, then remove the front panel by leveraging the black plastic clips that hold it to the metal chassis. Under the front panel will be the screws holding the dvd drive caddy in place which when removed reveals the hard drive.

How do I replace the hard drive on my emachines PC/

Power down the eMachines computer and unplug it from the power outlet. Remove the left side panel from the computer case by removing the two screws or thumbscrews in the back and sliding the panel toward the back of the computer. Should the panel not move, check to make sure that there isn't a latch or switch on the rear of the computer case that needs to be slid downward in order to remove the panel. Not all cases will have this feature. Locate the hard drive; it should be in a 3 1/2-inch drive bay located beneath the computer's CD and DVD drives. If your computer has a floppy disc drive, the hard drive will most likely be located in a bay beneath it. Check the position of the floppy drive to make sure that you know which 3 1/2-inch drive it is. You should notice two cables plugging into the back of the hard drive; one of these is the power cable that comes from the power supply, and the other is a data cable that is connected to the computer's motherboard. Unplug the power and data cables from the rear of the hard drive, leaving nothing else plugged in to it. Remove the screws that hold it into its mounting bay, setting them aside until you need them for the new hard drive. Slide the old hard drive out of the mounting bay, being careful not to drop it or hit it against any of the motherboard's components. Set the drive aside and pick up your new hard drive, then slide the new drive into the same bay that you just took the old drive out of. Line the small holes in the side of the drive up with the holes in the mounting bay. Secure the new drive by screwing in the screws that you had previously removed, then plug in the power and data cables that you had unplugged from the previous drive. The cables will only plug in when oriented correctly, so you won't have to worry about accidentally plugging them in wrong. Once the cables have been plugged in you can put the side panel back onto the case and plug your eMachines computer in once again. Hope this helps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQToRwe74P8

Where is the disk drive for a floppy disk located at on the tower

Sorry, but it appears that the EMachines model W3503 does not have a floppy disk drive installed. See this link: http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/emachines-w3503/1707-3118_7-32178774.html

Floppy disks are obsolete at this point. If you have data on a floppy disk that you wish to retrieve, see about getting help from someone you know who might have one on their computer system, or visit a public library (you might be able to offload the floppy disk contents and e-mail them to yourself).

Most people use USB flash drives now. They are far more reliable and have enormous capacity. Definitely get one if you don't have it. The W3503 computer has several USB ports on it.

Trying to remove panels on case e4036

Hi, try checking inside the case where you have removed the panel from. On some computers you need to unclip some plastic clips and withdraw the front panel, this may also have the drives attached to a cradle. If that is not the way, then look closely at the drive cradle and see if there is a metel clip on it, if so press this and swing the cradle out. If you do not have any luck get back to us with a description of what you see inside the box. Regards mistyman
