Software loaded when first bought. Tried scanning a picture from the control panel but nothing happens?

THIS MIGHT HELP I LOVE OLD SCANNERS AND ALL IN ONE PRINTERS. MOST OF THE TIME YOU HAVE TO GOTO MY COMPUTER AND SCAN IT A DIFFERENT WAY. LET ME KNOW IF I CAN HELP FURTHER.

well... have you go to the control panel and tryed the scanner and camera setup? You can go in there and click add scanner... then follow the instructions... It's not that hard really... and if that doesn't work try re-installing the driver software... hope it helps

My scanner did not work with the all in one printer 1410v hp. I was able to do it by going into paint and scan my pictures from there.

The all in one solution software you used in XP doen't work with Vista.

But you can still scan and copy by using Windows Photo Gallery.

1. Click on files tab at the top in Window Photo Gallery.
2. Click on import from camera or scanner.
3. Highlight your scanner icon (ie HP 1410v) then click import.
4. New scan window will popup, now you can preview or scan using this basic looking Vista utility.
