My screen on my Laptop has developed a silver streak (1.25") wide on the left hand side abiut 2 inches in Is this problem fixable? It is a Satellite P100 Can anyone help me

i think this is fixable, but just professional teachnician from service center can fix it, you just go to service center, and ask for fix that error

Usually this is a sign of a failing LCD or a bad ribbon cable. Try to reseat the cable in the back of the screen. If that doesn't cure it, then I'd recommend looking for a new screen.

Definately a damaged screen, no way to fix it for less than the cost of a replacement screen sorry.

this thing happened in my laptop also i got green screen fully
then when i hit it behind the screen it was gone but comes many times then again i would hit
later on the screen was completly lost then had to replace the screen
yous is a starting period so go to a nearby computer service and fix the screen

Your yellow problem sounds like a bad yellow developer housing. Take the drum out and look at the developer housing, You will need a flash light to do so. See if the roller is solid yellow. Even if it is there may not be any developer left in the housing.
The Cyan sounds like the drum since it gets worse as it prints.
That can also be caused by the transfer belt cleaner. But that normally is the opposite. It has a rainbow sort of streak and it gets better as the machine runs.

You might have a centering control among the options of your monitor. Look up the manual, or just play with the buttons until you find it.

I have an IBM think pad that developed a 2 inch black strip on the left side of my dispaly. I tried restoring to a previous setting, I updated video drivers, I reset display properties. None of the above worked and am now thinking of formatting and reinstalling windows as a last hope unless someone has any other ideas.

Sadly, the plasma screen is failing. The green strip is no longer functioning properly and the failures will continue to progress.

If still under warranty, get it exchanged.
