My canon ip 2700 printer blinks both the green and orange buttons whats the problem and how can i fix it

When both the green and orange buttons are blinking on a Canon iP2700 printer, it usually indicates an error or malfunction. The number of blinks can indicate the specific issue. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Check for any paper jams or obstructions inside the printer. Remove any jammed paper or debris.
  3. Check that the ink cartridges are properly installed and seated in their slots. Replace any cartridges that are low or empty.
  4. Restart the printer and see if the error message has cleared.
If the issue persists, you may need to reset the printer. Here's how:
  1. Press and hold the Resume/Cancel button (the orange button) for 5 seconds, then release it.
  2. Press and hold the Power button (the green button) while still holding the Resume/Cancel button.
  3. Release the Resume/Cancel button, but keep holding the Power button.
  4. Press the Resume/Cancel button twice, then release the Power button.
  5. Wait for the printer to reset itself. The green power light will blink and then stop blinking.
  6. Press the Resume/Cancel button four times, then press the Power button to confirm the reset.
  7. Wait for the printer to finish its reset process and print a test page.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to contact Canon customer support for further assistance or to have the printer serviced.

The printer apear to be dead!

Buttons and lights on the printer Two buttons and three lights are located on the front of an HP Deskjet printer.
  • The lights tell when the printer is working or when it needs attention.
  • The buttons help control the printer.
Buttons and lights Purpose c00123886.jpg POWER button and light Push the POWER button to turn the printer off and on. When lit, the light shows that the printer is turned on. c00123889.jpg RESUME button and light The light blinks when there is a problem with paper. When the problem is corrected, press the button. c00123892.jpg Print cartridge light The light blinks when there is a problem with a print cartridge. When the problem is corrected and the top cover is closed, the light will stop blinking. Troubleshooting blinking printer lights Blinking lights Reason c00123895.jpg

All lights are off. The printer is off (asleep).

Press the POWER buttonc00123886.jpg to turn the printer on.

The printer should turn on automatically when a print job is sent to it. c00123898.jpg

The POWER (top) light is on. The printer is idle.

The printer is ready to print a document. c00123900.jpg

The POWER (top) light is blinking. The printer is busy printing.

Allow enough time to print. When a document has many fonts or graphics or uses complex color such as a color photo, it takes longer to begin printing. c00123902.jpg

The PRINT CARTRIDGE (bottom) light is blinking. Possible causes:

  • The front cover is open. Make sure the front cover is completely closed.
  • The print cartridge is missing. Make sure the print cartridge has been installed correctly.
  • The print cartridge is broken or incompatible. Lift the front cover, and wait for the print-cartridge cradle to slide out. Check the part numbers on the print cartridge:

Black: 51645A

Color: C1823D,

If the print cartridges are compatible and correctly installed, they may be defective. Try replacing the print cartridges.

If none of the above suggestions fix the problem, and, if the error message still occurs, it may be a hardware failure. Call the HP Customer Support Center.

Paper & Power button blinking after each print

Sure, there is a utility program called SSC utility for epson. IT allows you to override errors, freeze ink levels, and more. I'd say download it, and on the menu, go to extras and choose "soft reset". Only do this out of warranty though, as it will void your warranty. BUT it works GREAT!!!
