What is ceramic fiber and how does it functions?

The Fiber Laser ceramic is an important part of the laser cutting machine's cutting head. The main function of the fiber ceramic is to transmit the electrical signals collected by the laser head nozzle, which plays an important role in the normal and stable operation of the laser cutting machine. And we often face device shutdown for no reason. The ceramic holders of RayTool laser head kills the work surface and instability because bad laser ceramic rings actually lead to other failures. That's why choosing a high-quality laser ceramic ring for a fiber laser cutting machine is very important and difficult.

Kraus kgw-1700 waterfall faucet cartridge replacement

The Kraus KGW-1700 has a ceramic cartridge inside it. Part # A507200N-T. The flow restrictor below it is part # A519234N. If the faucet is leaking, the trouble shooting section on end of installation instruction suggests to tighten the adjustment ring or cap. it is located on top of the ceramic cartridge. Kraus is www.Kraususa.com Their phone: 800-775-0703 To replace or clean under the cartridge, the manual doesn't say HOW TO take off the adjustment ring over the cartridge. It is not obvious as their is no place to loosen it...it has an internal ring setting for octagon socket. The only part I am able to take off is the handle assembly with a Hex wrench (17mm). I am looking for online directions how to remove adjustment ring but do not see one available.

How do I replace the shaft seal in a Starite Duraglas 1 1/2 hp pump

The ceramic goes into the seal plate with the white part facing out. The spring part goes on the motor shaft with the metal end facing out, and the side with the carbon ring facing in, so it meets with the white ceramic. Use a bit of lube on the rubber parts of the seal, but try not to get any on the ceramic or carbon ring.

Toshiba satellite c655d motherboard componet x4701 blown

There are no fuses on the motherboard.

The X4701 may be a Macom RF Power MOSFET, and will probably be located close to the X4701 designation, silkscreened on the motherboard.
Doesn't EVEN look like a fuse.

This is a general example of a Power MOSFET,

Notice the J-leads on the sides.

I wonder if you are looking at a crystal diode, or an MLCC ceramic capacitor, (Multi Layer Ceramic Capacitor, and is SMD. Surface Mount Device)

At any rate let's look at a Satellite C655D series of Notebook PC's motherboard,

Under the large main views are small views.
The view to the far left is the Bottom side.
The third view from the Left is the Top side.

You have to click on each one, one at a time, then you can use the Zoom In feature for that view.
Using the Zoom feature, can you try to point out the electronic component?

Use a reference point we can both follow. State a known large component near it, and go from there.

You know what the processor socket, and graphics chipset is. They are covered by the Cooling Tube.
You know what Power MOSFETs look like now, and Ceramic Capacitors.
The small aluminum 'can's that have a purple mark on one side, are solid Polymer capacitors. (Doubt they are Tantalum)

Also, I realize that it gives one a sense of pride to repair a motherboard, and the cost of the electronic components are MUCH cheaper than buying a replacement motherboard, but a replacement may be the way to go.

(Fairchild Semiconductor International - FDS6679 - Power MOSFET is around $1.
Ceramic capacitors, (MLCC, and SMD), are around 60 to 82 cents.
From the Ebay link it looks like $39 to replace the motherboard)

Capacitor failure? Ehh. No problem if we're talking SMD MLCC ceramic capacitors.

Diode goes bad? Could led to power going to the wrong place, and other electronic components could have been affected.
Could be bad, or about to go bad.
Jus sayin'.

This would mean motherboard replacement is the more logical solution, IMHO.

Kohler parts - plumber told me the ceramic ring in the faucet is broken- and that's why it is dripping. I am trying to piece out parts to fix myself on Kohler diagram - what is the ceramic ring called?...

hi, just had a quick look and the part you would have to source would be :78125 spline adapter. this is shown here...... http://www.us.kohler.com/onlinecatalog/pdf/1146603_2.pdf the taps are washerless ceramic valves and pretty good quality, are they still covered under warranty as i would imagine that part is not cheap.

Installed new impeller, seal, o ring and square o ring in Jacuzzi Magnum 2 hp. After putting it all back together it leaks alot from around the housing. The o ring is new, and I have tightened as tight as...

the o ring usually would not fit if it were the wrong size. What seals is a ceramic seal, did you change that? If run without water, the ceramic seal will be damaged....

Discoloration on ceramic top

Hi- High temps make for tricky maintenance of glass or ceramic tops. The heat element must pass its heat energy through the glass or ceramic and into the pan. Water droplets will steam away, while a spatter of oil or even a few grains of sugar will melt and burn to a tough film of carbon on the surface. The obvious preventitive measures of checking pan bottoms thoroughly before contact with clean (yes- very clean) cooktop surface mean most spots may be small, they can be annoying to look at and tough to remove. My best cleaning results for these spots came from using a VERY small amount of OVEN cleaner (use gloves) on a paper towel placed on spot for a few minutes. A clean, new razor blade may be used to scrape off film. Hope this helps. - Thanks- ED

Water leaking from top section of kitchen faucet

You might try replacing the o-rings but I would replace the cartridge and the o-rings. Be sure and use silicone lubricant on the o-rings.
