Black cartridge for Epson C1100 printer was replaced with a remanufactured cartridge, however supply status on LCD and screen show low toner near empty. Printer still prints but does not show toner level. Any suggestions to rectify this?
This is what happens when you also do a refil, but the advice from the refill people is to ignore the low ink warning as it will print happily until the point that the next message comes up which is that you need to replace the toner. Effectively this is to do with teh chip in the cartridge thaht tells the printer that it is low and unless you buy a new cartridge you will still get the low toner message but it is safe to ignore.

Replace Toner with gen cartridge. Or Take cartridge back as faulty after checking that it was opened and installed correctly. Check display on printer for indications that maybe it needs one of the 3 colour toners indicators are Y,C or M K is black
