GE microwave Model JVM1540DP1CC S/N HT931338B MFG. 5/2010. Fan comes on when door is opened. Also 20 amp internal fuse and the breaker blows if the door is opened while the microwave is cooking.

I don't have the Schematic but did you replace the fuse once? You may need a Slow Blow Fuse. They are marked and just look different

A slow blow fuse is different from a fast acting fuse in its capability to withstand transient pulse currents, i.e., it can withstand the surge current upon power-on/off, thus ensuring the equipment works normally. Therefore, slow blow fuses are often called time-delay fuses.

Hope I helped If I did please "Like"

Works a few seconds then the fuse blows. model#JES13845F

Fuse holders sometimes become weak due to heating. If the fuse is not held very tightly by the holder, the fuse will blow because it gets hot, not because the current exceeds the fuse's rating. If this is the case, replacing the fuse holder would be in order. This is not to be confused with the situation where the fuse blows when the door is opened or closed. In that case it's a door switch sequencing issue, or a bad switch.

Dometic model RM2663 Bo Blowing fuses

Need more information. If its new it might be drawing more amps than your circuit is rated. If its a new problem with an existing unit then you either have a grounding issue due to an open motor winding or bare wire to metal. A loose wire connection can also cause this issue. Does it run for awhile then blow the fuse or does it blow the fuse when it tries to cycle?

If the fuse blows again after replacing it, there's a shorted diode, bridge rectifier, capacitor or transistor in the power supply.

Blown fuse

You can try a slow blow fuse, but more than likely there is some other issue in the unit that is drawing too much current. By no means would you want to increase the amperage of the fuse. it could cause a fire.

Purifier doesn't go on and keeps blowing fuses when turned on

If the machine keeps blowing fuses there is a short in the electrical circuit and it needs to be looked at by a certified repair center.
Make sure the fuses you replace are the same as the original
100,110 volt models use the 1.0 amp slow blow fuse
220 volt models use the 0.5 amp slow blow fuse.

I hope this helps
