The plastic cover has interior clips around the perimeter.
if you take a single side razor blade and insert in the separation seam
you release one clip you will see how it comes off.
Here is a youtube video to help.

Can't hotsync replacement t5 ; I dropped my working T5 and have not been able to hot sync my backup unit.

If the new one won't pick up your old files you need to go onto the desktop app and export the data. then create a new id on the new palm. It should now hotsync with the new blank id. Now go back to the desktop and import the files from the other id. Hotsync again and you should have them on your palm.

How to replace the speaker in palm treo 755p

This procedure shouldn't be attempted unless you are resigned to the POSSIBILITY of messing your phone up.
When you say speaker, I am assuming you mean the audio speaker used when playing music, which is found on the back of the device, and not the speaker found in the earpiece.
The take apart should be simple but it is a bit complicated. Remove your back panel, then the battery and SIM and/or memory card if it has either. Also, remove the stylus.
With a small and special T5 screwdriver, remove the screws found underneath the stylus, and under the rubber stopper opposite of the stylus.
Now, you need to use a soft pry tool to remove the top half of the back panel by gently sliding it into the grooves that were hidden by the battery door.
Once removed, you should have access to the speaker. Replacement is just a matter of splicing the red and black wire together.
Reassemble in opposite order.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you need any more details.

Tungsten t5 : Won't power on, despite change of a rechargeable battery, soft reset, trial of hard reset. Any suggestion ? Shall I throw this device away ?

It might just be that the battery is shot and you need to replace just it, I would try that before you throw it away

T5 is frozen on the "Palm Powered" screen

Remove the battery and let the palm sit for a day, reconnect the battery and do a hard reset. To remove the battery, you need a Torx T5 screwdriver. Carefully remove the cover making a note of the location of all the buttons in the case. The battery is connected by a mini 2 pin connector, just disconnect the battery by gently wiggling the connector and pulling.

Tungsten T5 holding a charge

You basically "Arc Welded" your charging circuit in your PDA. Perform a hard reset By turning on your PDA with the soft reset on the back pushed. If this don't solve it.....yikes

T5 Outlook Calendar Synchronization failed - Any one have a fix?

I went to the MY COMPUTER folder, clicked open PROGRAM FILES, open PALMONE folder, open the username folder and deleted the back-up files. However, before I did this I deleted all of the problems dates in the PC calendar and set the hotsync to PC overrides handheld. While this works, unfortunately I have found that I need to do it every once in a while which is very disappointing. It seems that Windows does not operate seamlessly with the Palm T5. I find that the hotsync crashes 50% of the time forcing me to reset my Palm T5. No information is lost, but it is really a pain in the *** to have to do so often. Versamail hotsync sometimes freezes on the handheld, but that is another issue which I have managed to fix much in the same way as describe above.
