Sansa e260 battery trouble

Hello

I just bought my mp3 player about 6 months ago and now when I take it off the charge I can listen to it no longer than two hours and it dies....

My question is do you think I need a new battery or do you think it is a problem with the player??

If it is the battery where can I go to replace it??

There is a trick to charging the battery in these small mp3 players. It wont charge if it is turned on, and it won't charges if it's turned off. Here what to do...
1. plug the payer into your USB port. or wall charger
2. switch thje palyer on using the mechanical switch (on the side)
3. turn it off by either holding down the play button, or selecting "System" from the menu
4. The screen will go black and the battery will begin charging.

My computer wont recognize my USB

Hi,

Try the following steps:

Resetting the device:
1. Press and hold the Power/Menu button for approximately 20 seconds.
2. Release the Power/Menu button.
3. Press the Power/Menu button again to turn on the player.

NOTE: Resetting will turn the player off while it is frozen.

If that doesn't work, then you may download and install the Sansa Firmware Updater and update to the latest firmware.
