My black & decker tro964 is not heating

The timer works but neither element is heating. Worked fine yesterday. I'm presuming it's the heating elements. Are these easy to find? Easy to remove the old ones and install the new ones?

That may sound like a stupid question, but is it plugged in?
Have you tried to plug in the toaster on a different power outlet?
If there is a ground fault switch where the toaster is plugged in (that's those outlets which have 2 buttons on the front, one labeld "Test" the other usually labeled "Reset") unplug the toaster and push the "Reset" button and try the toaster again. To test, if the power outlet, were the toaster is usually plugged in, is working, try a hair dryer or any other device on that outlet.
Its most likely cheaper to replace the whole toaster than to replace the heating elements, for about 40 $ since that's the price of your toaster on some websites.

I honestly believe that the burned element in my toaster oven is replaceable
like a burned out oven element or dryed element. I thought someone would
show me how to replace the element. That didn't happen. I am dubious
about the need for experts via a commitment to a specialists' plan.

SOURCE: top element not working all wires are connected

Very possible the element on top has a break some where but maybe small enough you cant see it or could be hiden. If you have access to a multimeter put it to ohms and with it unplugged from the outlet take the wires off the element and check the element itself if the multimeter reads OL the element is bad.

HOW DO I GET REPLACEMENT PART #TO1313-02 for my Black & Decker toaster Oven #TO1322SBD? I purchased the oven 5/27/2013 and it has not worked for a couple months.

B & D doesn't sell replacement parts, and only warantees the unit for 1 year.

Sorry, but you will need to replace the unit. Thank the lawyers who told them it is too risky.

Where do you buy heating elements for black and decker perfect broil?

I was unable to locate the replacement heating elements for your toaster oven. These parts do not appear to be available. Probably buting a new toaster oven is your best bet.

Black & Decker Toaster Oven - elements cycle on and off, which makes for a SLOW cook.

Oven has three modes: 1) oven mode cycles elements on and off to maintain a specific temp setting for up to 60 min. 2) toast should keep all elements on for a few min. 3) broil mode top elements only always on, up to 60 min. Make sure you have dials in correct position and use the toast timer.

Black & Decker toaster oven won't work

We've had many of these over the years...they seem to run along just fine, and then, one day, they quit. There is no fuse, but if it's the only thing plugged into that wall outlet, the one thing you might check is the circuit breaker on that line. To be sure, plug a lamp into the socket just to make sure you're getting electricity out of the wall.

Sorry to say, it may be time to purchase a new unit.

The heating elements on top do not come on to toast or bake the topside. The bottom elements heat up just fine. How do I troubleshoot? Is it worth fixing?

Al, your switch is likely a DKJ/1-60. As you know you can\'t find one, however there is a switch that will fix your oven. It\'s part # 05XDE5218104600 and is made for Delonghi ovens. It looks the same as the DKJ/1-60 and works the same. Get it at The Gourmet Depot website for $10 + shipping

Black and Decker 0650

I have a Black & Decker CT0649 toaster oven. The timer switch on the toast control does not work and I took it out and took it apart. There is no way I can put is back together. Black and Decker will not sell me a new one!

If you have a broken Black & Decker CTO649 I would be interested in purchasing the two timer switches in it before you through it out, $5.00/each. (Negotiable).

I can be reached at [email protected]

Thanks
Al

Top element not heating

I found that the heating element in the top front was burned off at the end. I removed the side cover and the ceramic insulator from the broken end. I then grabbed the broken end of the spring inside the glass tube and stretched it to where I could re-attach it to the connector. It now works after getting it back together.
If you attempt this repair, UNPLUG THE OVEN FIRST!
There is also a security screw at the bottom of the side cover.
