Hi. I have a NordicTrack T25.0 which is amazing. However, it appears to have started turning itself off and the only way I can get it to come on again is to unplug from both the mains and the machine, turn off the reset button a few times, and just repeat this until the machine sparks back into life.... I have to admit, we went through a period of not using it for a few months and I wonder if something has happened. I have only had it for about 6 months so it's quite new. Could you tell me if there is an easy fix or if I need to call someone out to have a better look. Thanks :)

You have 1,2 or maybe 3 problems. 1st is you need to remove the cover over the motor. The belt that the motor turns may be slipping. You need to loosen the bolt that keeps the tension on the drive belt. Push down to tighten manually and then tighten bolt. While your in there you should check the drive belt for wear. If you have used the treadmill a lot it may need replacement. $20 from readmilldocter.com The walking belt if badly worn can be replaced for like $99 but probably is fine. put all back together and tighten tension. Should be able to lift walking belt 3 to 4 inches from center sides. Any less and its too tight. Its probably better to just replace the drive belt anyway. This should work. Do not over tighten ever. This is the cause of most problems.

Hello There, Thank you for all the information. It appears as if your walk belt is worn. What is happening is the friction from the bottom of the belt is actually causing the motor to overheat (there is a thermal cutout inside where the 2 blue wires go) When the belt wears the cloth on the underside becomes flattened out causing too much surface area to contact the walk board, thus the extra friction.
To check your walk board you can loosen the adjusting bolts on the rear and while lifting the walk board look underneath. If there is any wear/white areas then you will need to replace the board as well. You will be able to tell by just rubbing your hand across it and check for any places where the black film may be coming off.
Also the only time you really need to replace any of the rollers is when the bearings go bad or the pulley on the front roller separates. The rollers are about a 1% chance of causing this problem.
Good Luck! and great question, Tim

I suggest checking your power plug then check or reset the circuit breaker on the treadmill next to the cord if that ok and the unit is still dead. Unplug unit the remove motor shroud and if you own a multi meter plug the unit in and start checking the AC all the way to the lower board and see where the AC is missing.
If the Voltage is good to the board then check DC Out put going the console wire harness should have 5v or 12v DC depending on model if missing then replace lower board if present, then check the continuity of wire harness if bad replace harness. If good upper console needs to be replaced

My Nordic Track Treadmill A2250 is stuck on the 12% incline position and it wont go back down and I have tried to reset it by turning it off, switching the reset button to off and then on or even unplugging it several times. What would be my next move?
