How do I prep my Kenmore Elite He5t washer for move to new house

How do I prepare my Kenmore Elite He5t washer and Kenmore Elite He5 dryer for moving? I was given some bright orange braces when I bought the washer and dryer but there are no instructions in the manual on how to use them to prepare the washer and dryer for a move to a new home

Washers n dryers usually require some balancing after a move to the new area, and when you lift the washer on a dolly, you lift it from the rear. Assuming you've already tipped the washer slighlty to one side, checked the bottom for which side has the most metal underneath. This is best done with 2 people. Do the same with the dryer. The braces are used to help balance or to keep from tipping when the machine was packed inside a large box.

I have a Kenmore elite he5 gas dryer and when it is turned on it will not spin. Can you tell me why?
If you hear a humming/clicking sound from motor area you more than likely have a bad motor.
Try this test out to see if u have weak windings or relay on motor.
Open the dryer door and turn by hand the drum while machine is on ON position. And you or someone else presses the door engagement switch in. If it starts up then u have bad windings OTHER WISE CHECK FOR A LOOSE WORN BELT

How do I get to the pump to clean it on my Kenmore he5 washer
Remove the bottom panel in the front or toe kick area. It's 2 or 3 small screws and lifts up. You may have to tilt the machine back to remove it. The pump and strainer are accessible there. The strainer cap screws off, put a catch tray under it because up to quart of water can drain there. Clean the strainer of debris before replacing pump.

Kenmore Elite HE5t does not move the wash drum or go into spin cycle.
The drum bearing is likely frozen up.

If you are going to clean out the strainer compartment down below, the best way to avoid a mess is to shop vac out the water through the drain hose before you start. At that point there should be almost no water in the machine. (Also a good idea if you are moving the machine. And remember to reinstall the four shipping bolts in the back that were there when you first got the machine).

Hi..I bought a HE5 Kenmore Elite dryer...do i have to hook up the water inlet even if i do nto use the steam options?

My kenmore he5t washer will not turn on. The on
I have the same problem . If I power cycle mine enough times I eventually get a F70 or F71 code. My research online suggests that the user interface board has a problem and needs to be replaced.

The good news is the warranty covers these boards for two years. The bad news is they are $360 if you are out of warranty.
