Without the specific model number, I can't give you teh exact sequence, but you need to setup the set to only enable channel 3. Work your way through the menus to select channel 3 as your "favorite" channel. Disable all of the others. The set should then turn on as channel 3 at all times. I have one of this tv model too.Just used a RCA component cables like Y,R,W hook one side to the tv Video IN INPUT holes and the VCR the other end of the cable to VCR Video OUT INPUT holes.Now just pushes a channel manual button up or down a couples for the tv go into VIDEO Mode.Play the dvd player it will work.Or try Remotes.com to buy a tv original remote.Return the universal remote.

U still have the tv original remote?Yes,must used it to get into chanel 3.Because the manual buttons channels up and down on the tv bazel frame will skip channel 3.Only able get into channel 3 by manual channel buttons up or down only if it was save in the tv memory.Try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote.

1 Press POWER to turn the power off.
2 Press TV/VCR, current VCR Output Channel will appear on the LCD display.
3 Each time TV/VCR is pressed for 2 seconds, the LCD display changes as follow

Will the TV go to channel 3? if not you need to reporogram the TV to sence channel 3 or go into the setup and undelete channel 3. Channel 3 is the channel your digital box is set to boradcast to the tv itself.

When you select channels, the one that comes in the channel number will be green and if you manually select 03 it will probably be red. Hit menu and add channel 03
