Bios Updater Dont work

(My Motherboard Model Number Doesnt apear to be in your Product list so i just chose any product...but i have stated my actual model in this email..)

I have the motherboard P5V-VM DH with WIFI - AP Solo 3 in 1 wireless Lan Adapter... it keeps crashing whenever i use my laptop wireless (vista O/S) .... my laptops internet feed comes from my asus motherboard /computer... so the internet is being suplied through this 3 in 1 wireless adapter.. to my laptop... in order for my laptop to get this connection i had to bridge my network settings and choose share internet connection..... coz i have another computer on my network so including my laptop i have a total of 3 computers on a network and only the laptop crashes my system through the Wireless Lan.... iv tried to update the bios but the software suplied for that dont work.. its trying to unzip some file and cant do the bios platform just sits there not doing anything so when i click cancel i get this error message "Unable to decompress the file" i get this message with everything to do with the ASUS Update v7.10.03 .... i dont supose you know how i can resolve all these problems im having?

I try to use the ASUS Auto Update facility and get the 'unable to decompress the file' error every time. is it the updater?

Also have the P5V VM DH but I am able to use the Asus Update software successfully when updating from file, however after erasing and flashing the rom it fails verification at 86% and only allows you to abort the process. Read another thread on the Asustek forum where another user of the update software had the same failure at 86% verified using another MB. But did not have any replies from anyone on how to overcome the problem.

Want to update my bios as my graphics card seems to be incompatable with the MB. Originally had XFX pcie card installed and have now installed an ASUS en8500GT as I thought that surely an Asus MB and Graphics card would function together, but it would apear that I was silly to assume such a thing!

AsRock Support > AlivenF6G-DVI Motherboard > Main Support page,

In the list on the left hand side, click on CPU Support List

The AMD Athlon 64 X2 5800+ CPU, (Processor), is part number ADA5800IAA5DO.
Operates Up To a maximum frequency rate ('Speed'), of 3.0GigaHertz, has two L2 cache's of 512MegaByte, and uses the Socket AM2 CPU socket.

In the CPU Support :List it is not shown.
This is ONLY because the Athlon 64 X2 5800+, came out way after the CPU Support List was compiled. NOT because it isn't supported.

No, I have to amend that,

It's because AMD's lack of information, apparently, that AsRock didn't list it.

I don't see the voltage range listed anywhere. (To include AMD)

At any rate let's go with deductive reasoning, and see if this CPU is supported.

1) You can compare the Athlon 64 X2 5800+, to the other CPU's in the CPU Support List; that are comparable to it, and above it.

Don't even have to go too far.
Look at the ADA6000IAA6CZ, and the ADX6000IAA6CZ CPU's.

The two Athlon 64 X2 6000+ versions.
(Doesn't state that, just the above part numbers)

However I DO notice that the ADX requires BIOS version P2.00, and the ADA only requires BIOS version P1.60
(Since BIOS)

2) The motherboard chipset is an Nvidia GeForce 6100 and Nvidia nForce 430, Or Nvidia GeForce 6150SE and Nvidia nForce 430

Compatible? Yes.
May need the P2.00 BIOS update, if not already installed.

Motherboard start new cpu

CPU Support List

Intel Core2 Duo - Model Q9400
1) Yorkfield Core technology
2) Built on the 45nm architecture
3) Natively uses a 1333MegaHertz Front Side Bus, (1333MHz FSB)

4) BIOS version -> F14

Uses the Intel P965 motherboard chipset,

Hmmm, states support for -> 65nm architecture processors

The Q9400 is based on the 45nm architecture.
I'm guessing the F14 BIOS version will allow support.

The voltage range of a Q9400 is .085 to 1.3625 Volts (DC)

What is the 'old' processor model number, and do you know the voltage range?

Did you get the Q9400 from a reputable source?

Have you been following Anti-Static Precautions?

Using CPU-Z from, and the old processor installed, is F14 reputed to be the BIOS version that is installed? Just want to make sure.

Sometimes it takes 3 to 4 times of a 'Hard Start', for BIOS to recognize a new Processor.
(Computer turned all the way off, not Restart. WAIT 1 minute, turn back on. Hard Start )

Still no?
What is the frequency rate ('Speed') of the DDR2 Sdram ram memory, you have installed?

Post back in a Comment.

(Bet you're going through some Thermal Paste, huh?)

Ms7525 vga driver

Hi there, the MS-7525 is an OEM-branded Motherboard provided to HP and Compaq. If your computer is an HP or Compaq computer, look at the Model Number on the back, or underneath the computer, then go to the HP website.
Click on Drivers and Software, then either Detect your Product or type in the Model under "Enter Product Name/Number."
Once you've done that, your Motherboard should be listed in the Drivers section.

Audio drivers for intel pentium11, awrdacpi

install everest free and click on motherboard and click on the motherboard subroot. then, see the motherboard name. then go to the cpu manufactors website which in this case is most likely an msi. find the product under chipset. then , when you've found it, click on driver. then download the sound driver, which is most likely the ADI SoundMAX (AD1888) Driver. it should work like a charm. this usually works only for intel awrdacpi.

No response from Monitor, Mouse and Keyboard

Definitely a "faulty" motherboard. If fans on PC do not turn, no lights come on and dead screen.

If lights come on, and fans turn, try to reset the BIOS by removing your CMOS (and setting the jumper to clear for about 5 minutes, then put the jumper to normal again) battery for 5 minutes.

Sometimes the bios just "stuffs" up and you'll get no response from your pc at all. So all you do is "CLEAR THE CMOS/BIOS"
