No OS 10.5 driver for hp 4600 scanjet

Where can I find a driver for an hp scanjet 4600 that runs on Mac OS10.5?  HP does not seem to have one, a year and a half after 10.5 came out, so my guess is that they never will.  Is there a third party driver?

    I went to source text of this FixYa website to retrieve the full link because the link was not coming through on my browser rendition.  With the full link, I still get a message from HP saying that the page cannot be found.  Is there something else you can suggest?  Thanks.

HP Scanjet 4470c compatible with Mac OS X 10.6.1
You will not find drivers for this old scanner. Sorry but this scanner is not compatible with Tiger, Leopard, or Snow Leopard, and HP offers no drivers other than for OSx 8.0 & 9.0 which are 10 years old. Time to purchase a new scanner.

I ve lost the cd with the installer of my hp scanjet 2400, i ve seen here several msgs asking for the same but the solutions that we haver here do not work I NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE DRIVER FOR hp scanjet 2400...
Thsi is not the answer you are looking for but it is the truth. The answer is no. If neither of the Mac drivers listed works with your new 10.5.6 OS, then one has not been written and it is very unlikly one every will be written for an older product.   Sorry.

I have a Mac running OS X 10.5.5. dan123 answered my hp3500c problem with the above link. I downloaded the dmg file and installed the hp environment and it works. I was not, however, able to use the Photoshop plugin in Photoshop Elements 6. I can use the hp GUI and name Photoshop Elements as the output. I performs the scan and then opens it in Photoshop.
