My recently purchased Panasonic tv just shut itself off while we were watching it. When I attempt to turn the tv back on the red power light blinks 7 times, pause, 7 times, and repeats this over and over. Any idea what the issue may be? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
The 7 blinks indicates that a failure has happened within the Y main and the upper and lower y drive panels. I recommend you taking it in to a Service center for and evaluation.
First - try unplugging the set from the wall, . . . wait a few minutes, then plug back in. This is the #1 FAQ on Panasonic's website. Happened to my father's set - has been up for 2 months running since.

PANASONIC TH-42PX80U tv is shutting off on its own.
Our satellite system froze (all TVs). We turned off the TVs, but the Panasonic would not come on, only the red light keeps blinking (7 blinks & a pause)
