Question about Toys

1 Answer

I have a Yamaha Raptor 700r battery powered atv, I have a new charged battery and when it is installed the battery power indicator lights doesn't light up at all. I know the battery works because I use it on a Yamaha 660r, which has an off/on switch. Could the 700r just be turned off or does it have a fuse somewhere?

Assuming the Raptor does not start:
The main fuse and the fuse box are located under
the seat. There should be a spare fuse there also. Turn the key to
OFF and turn off all electrical circuits. Replace any blown fuses.Turn the key to ON and turn on the electrical circuits to check if the devices operates. If the fuse immediately blows again, have a Yamaha dealer check the electrical system.
I found this in the online owners manual at this site:
Maybe the manual will help troubleshoot your problem.

Let it dry out. You got the electrical wet with high power water pressure.... Wd 40 may help dry out the water .. Check to see if your fuses are still good and you didn't short them out.

Try jumping the cylinoid post with a screwdriver with the key on if it starts you have a bad cylonoid most likely,if this is the case order a new one from as they are much cheaper and good quality as to buying one from a bike shop
