Wont except aftermarket printer cartridge error code "not recognized"

I purchased Kodak ESP5 aftermarket LD brand printer cartridge and the printer wont allow me to use it. I get A messege on my screen "not recognized replace color ink" what to do?

May be the cartridge is not detected by Kodak printer. Kodak printer works with genuine Kodak cartridges and that too brand new not refilled cartridges.The brand new cartridges have a certain code that is recognised by the Printer.Kindly buy genuine cartridges as the printer may be damaged by Non comaptible cartridges.

What does error code 3820 mean for a kodak esp5 all-in-one printer

The error message "Carriage Home detection failed" (error code 3820) can be resolved by following these steps:
To resolve this error:
1.Open the printer access door.
2.Disconnect the power adapter from the printer.
3.Gently hold both sides of the carriage, located immediately behind the print-head, and make sure the carriage moves freely.
•If the carriage does not move freely, contact Kodak.
4.Remove the print-head and ink cartridges.
5.Reinstall the print-head and ink cartridges, making sure each clicks into place.
6.Connect the power adapter to the printer.
7.Turn the printer on, if necessary.
8.Close the printer access door.
If the error continues, contact Kodak.

Kodak ESP5 new cartridge error msg: cartridge needs replaced

Try using a new pack of ink cartridges.

If still face the same issue, conntact Kodak support.

They will send you ink cartridges, if still the same issue persists the printer will be replaced.

We are having trouble with our kodak ESP5 printer it wont print using black we have changed both cartridges and ran it through the cleaning it also only sees that the black is 1/2 full and it's a new black...

Follow www.kodak.com/go/itg and try the step by step solution.If issue persists,Call Kodak @1800 421 6699 and get a new printhead free of cost.....Printhead has gone bad and it is the part in which we install the ink cartridges.It takes the ink out of the cartridges and spit the ink on the papers,...Cheers and Enjoy.

We have just purchased a Kodak Printer ESP5 from ebay and we keep getting the message 'printer head missing or has come loose' on the screen. We have refitted many times but the same message keeps coming...

Change it, it's a manufacturing fault involving the lever that fixes the cartridges , even if you fix it now it may come back at any time.

My Kodak ESP5 AiO printer has its print head stuck at its right.

Dear Sir/Ma'am,

• To resolve this issue remove the cartridges and then the printhead (Upon removing the cartridges look into the slot where the black cartridge fitted into. On the vertical wall at the back you will see two small contact points. Place your finger above those points on the black plastic and run your finger towards the top of the printhead. You will feel a little button and by pressing it , it will release the printhead.)
• Remove power
• Please now check for any objects or paper that might be obstructing the movement of the printer carriage - if any are found please remove them
• Wait 5-7 minutes
• Reinsert power
• Reinsert printhead (When inserting the Printhead please ensure that you hear it click into place)
• Then re-insert cartridges, black first then colour.Please also ensure that you hear them clip into place

Maybe the printhead is not working properly. call Kodak and they will going to replace tht printhead. Thanks

I Filled Kodak ESP5 Ink Cartridge, but error remains

Try to reseat the cartridge 2-3 times. probably the carrtidge is defective. call kodak @ 1800 421 6699 and they will replace the cartridge for you free of cost.

Black ink is faded

Open the kodak all in one home center on your desktop and click on [?] on top most right hand side. choose maintenance under general links and choose printhead cleaning. if this does not solve the issue, call kodak @ 1800 421 6699 and they will replace the printhead for you free of cost.
