Computer stops completely

If your system came with a factory restore image you would start the computer and TAP the F8 key or press CNTRL+F11 and choose repair your computer. This is dependent on the system model. You would then follow the prompts to restore.

sounds like the motherboard may be going out

i think u didn't install ur sound driver........if instaqlled then also not comming then please see reinstalling the driver......

sir i have not sound driver. my computer is intel(r) pentium(r) 4 cpu 3.00ghz. windows= microsoft windows xp professional version 2002 sp 2 v.2096.which sound driver install in my computer? sir pls tell me somthing.

You need to download the driver from DELL for your video card, my 3000 use video driver R79733.EXE.
You may have virus in your computer if you cannot update the drivers, sometime it is better to start from clean drive to help get rid of stuff that get installed into the computer.

Try to tune up your machine: scan disk, clean up, and optimize your registry with any registry tools you have, and try also to defragment your hard disk.

Just reinstall the Microsoft Windows XP Professional! If u are running pentium 4 or later, just use Windows Vista Home Premium !
