Someone gave me the adapter only. can i get it to work without the installation disc

Hi go here and scroll down beyons the FREE scan scam

You can try waiting the 90 seconds and entering the code to get access to the driver or select the second one in the list even lower than the obvious one.
http://www.driverskit.com/freedownload/Net_Card/Encore/ENUWI-G-ZDPR_802_11G_Wireless_USB_2_0_Adapter/ENUWI-G-ZDPR_802_11G_Wireless_USB_2_0_Adapter/get17640.html

The adapter might work without the driver, but id its available better to use it...

How do i conect it without cd

the drivers are HERE http://www.encore-usa.com/us/support/ENUWI-G2 so you will need to download onto the PC and then install them - you need a PC thats connected to the internet , and you can copy to your PC via a USB flash drive, of write them to CD etc

Rollback

Did you try to just uninstall the application, then just reinstall the old one.

Configuring the usb

First, make sure that the device is working properly on the device manager of your computer. Then, set the wireless settings of the router to the wireless adapter. You can use the wireless utility built in to windows (XP and Vista) or the utility that came with your adapter to fix that.

Normally, the limited or no connectivity may mean that there is a wireless security set on your network and that the network key is set incorrectly. If you are using Vista or XP, try to remove the preferred networks and reconnect once again with the correct key.

Hope this helps
