Sony have a page offering information and support, including downloads (Picture Motion Browser) for this camera at THIS LINK
This type of camera transfers video to computer with a Firewire (Sony call this i.Link) connection. Some mini-DV and D8 cameras have a USB connection which is used for stills ONLY. There is a tutorial for downloading videos to computer linked from the above site.
It can and do take some time to use these disks, this is the reason camera makers dropped putting DVD in movie cameras, simply never worked well, grab a digital 8mm camera if you like reliable cameras.
You can download the software from the sony website. Try searching google with the make and model of your camera + "computer driver" for whatever type of computer you have.
Well you need a Video Input device, Software and AV cables. Install Video Capture card, (A TV card with external in are useful too) either PCI or USB, install the device and Drivers and Video Software, then using AV Camera to Video IN cables connect Camera to Video Audio IN, and then start Video Program on PC, Que up Camera for PLAY, press Record on Software, press Play on VCR. Then you will be able to save the stored Video for later playback. You will be able to save as many formats too and be able to burn to DVD.
There is some good video software called Dscaler, & KMPLayer, both well worth downloading and using. links below.
deinterlace.sourceforge.net/ - kmplayer.en.softonic.com/ - United States
Make sure you have a DV cable also know as a firewire cable. You will need some software to capture the video from your camera to your hard drive. Pinnacle Studio is an inexpensive system for capturing, editing, and producting videos to DVD.
Make sure you have a firewire port in the back of your computer.
