I have the following issue with my Yamaha Soundbar SR300. When i press the Input selector Button on the bar itself it says PANEL LOCK INP and i cant switch the Input selector. Does anyone have an idea how to enable the function again. Cant find any help in the user Manual. Thank you Christian E.

When I press the keys "input" or volume up and down on the unit I get the message "panel lock all" My young son was randomly pressing the buttons on the unit and this's happened - don't know if it's related or just coincidence :(

It's odd that you can't find this issue in the manual, however, are there any blinking indicators? If it's a microprocessor(computer inside your Yamaha) that's locked up, you may try unplugging the power for an hour, and then plug it back in. If you're interested in having your Yamaha repaired, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. You may contact me there. Thank you.

SOURCE: yamaha rxv-992 receiver wont power up

Disconnect all your speakers from the receiver. Turn the power on, and see if it stays on. If the unit shuts off with all the speakers disconnected, then you most likely have a faulty unit, and it will need to be repaired or replaced.

If the unit stays on with all the speakers disconnected, then you most likely have a bad speaker or a bad connection with the speaker wire.

Starting with one speaker, hook it up, and turn the unit on, and again see if the unit stays on, or if it shuts off. Do this until the unit shuts off when you connect a speaker.

Then disconnect all the other speakers, and leave the suspect speaker attached. Again, try to power up the unit. If it fails with that speaker attached, but works when it is not attached, then that speaker is your problem.

SOURCE: Cannot turn TV off when playing CD's with samsung HT-X810R/LG50PG

Problem traced to Samsung's Anynet+ System interacting with LG's Simplink. They seem to be
compatible. Cured by Menu/Option/Simplink/OFF. Hope this helps with anyone else having this problem. trev6.

How can I put my onkyo pa 7sd in aux

To switch your Onkyo PA 7SD amplifier to the auxiliary (AUX) input, follow these steps:
  1. Locate the input selector: Look for the input selector knob or button on the front panel of the amplifier. It is usually labeled with various input options such as "AUX," "CD," "Tuner," etc.
  2. Turn on the amplifier: Ensure that the amplifier is turned on by pressing the power button or flipping the power switch.
  3. Select the AUX input: Rotate the input selector knob or press the corresponding input button to choose the AUX input. The label "AUX" should be indicated on the display or selector knob.
  4. Connect your device: Connect the audio output of your desired device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player, or external audio source) to the AUX input on the back panel of the amplifier. Use an appropriate audio cable (e.g., RCA or 3.5mm) depending on the available input/output ports.
  5. Adjust the volume: Once you have selected the AUX input, adjust the volume knob on the amplifier to your desired listening level. You should now be able to hear the audio from your connected device through the amplifier.

Got an ONN TV and an ONN soundbar. Hooked up via RCA cable. TV audio in PCM mode. Soundbar in AUX mode. Can't get any sound from soundbar. What have I missed?

PCM mode is a digital audio file that should be sent to the soundbar via an optical or coaxial digital audio cable. The coaxial digital audio cable uses an RCA plug but not the L/R stereo channels of analog audio. The aux input is usually the 3.5 MM cable from a computer, CD or MP3 player or a cell phone or tablet.

First, which type of RCA cable is connected between the sound bar and the TV? Second, are you sure that the TV connection is an audio out? (A number of recent TVs have only one audio output. This means there is only the optical audio out and not even a headphone jack.)

Once you double-check the input at the sound bar, choose the Line In input if you are using the stereo RCA cable. If you are using the Optical input, select that input. Use either the Mode button or the specific input button on the remote. Then double-check that the TV is set for the appropriate audio out.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the model of the TV and the sound bar for further information. I looked at the ONB18SB001 documentation for some of this. The manual for this Onn soundbar is available at Manuals Lib. See https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1498038/Onn-Onb18sb001.html?page=12#manual for the list of input modes and the input to which they correspond. Here is the image of the inputs on the back of the ONB18SB001: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1498038/Onn-Onb18sb001.html?page=7#manual .

I hooked up my soundbar using the HDMI out (TV) port from bar to HDMI in port on my Philips TV power is on bar however I can't get any sound out of bar. But just audio cables worked what to do?

OK, If its the Samsung Sound Bar, this item should have 2 HDMI input, 1 3.5mm audio jack input and a digital audio input (fiber optic). Since there are various input, the remote control should have a source button, or it will probably read O/A Input, this is to change thru the inputs from the sound bar. If you connected your TV HDMI output to HDMI 1 from the Sound Bar, then press the source button to reach HDMI 1, maybe it will be display with a different name, like sound 1, or DIGI.1 Give it a shot and let me know in the comment section. Good luck.

Yamaha yas-101 uverse codes

I had the same problem with my U-verse s10-10 remote and a yamaha SR 300 soundbar. Here is how I got my volume control (but NOT power control) on the yamaha working:

First - always send volume control to the AUX button:
Press and hold AT&T key and OK for 1 second, release, look for 2 flashes.
Now press AUX button. The AUX button will show a long flash.

Second - Go through the manual programing steps listed in the guide for the AUX button (hold AUX and OK for 1 second, release; 2 flashes, punch in code). But instead of pressing the Power button to try to turn off your yamaha soundbar, press the volume up / down and Mute button. I think the code that worked for me was 4045 but I honestly don't remember.

The key is that you have to send the volume control to the AUX button first or it's all a wash.

plug in the power to each unit with the provided power adapters, turn the sound bar and subwoofer on, activate the wireless subwoofer link by pressing a button on the soundbar (or remote) and subwoofer, and connect an audio source to either the provided analog or digital audio inputs on the soundbar
Note: When using the Digital Optical input, set source device audio out to PCM

(you can hook to ur tv if it has a R/L audio output, or u can also connect it if your tv has a toslink style digital output. (most LCD and Plasma TV's have them.))

Our 2nd zone won't work, we get the error saying check SP wires. The wires seem connected correctly. We also can't change the volume on zone 2. The Yamaha unit is working otherwise.

Hi,

U cant get an amplified out put form ur av receiver for zone 2. speaker a A and B is the same out put of frond left and right. it is not ZONE 2 output. U can get only a pre output for zone to from this receiver. U nee a separate stereo amplifier for using zone 2 .put an amplifier in the other room, connect the zone 2 pre out to it. And do the following setup in ur av receiver .

The receiver shows check speaker cable because its amplifier minimum impedance is 8 ohms . when u connect other speaker in speaker the total impedance will come under 4 ohms. Speaker b is not ZONE 2 in this amplifier

1. press the input selector button A or B to select the source component you want to setup.

2. press and hold LEARN (on remote) button about 3 seconds by using a boll pen or similar object ( SETUP and the selected component name appear alternately in the display window.)

3. press up or down arrow to select "zone2"

4. press LEARN to complete the Zone 2 setup.
